The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 23, 1955, were approved as read.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1696, providing for the expendi-
ture of funds not to exceed the sum of $2.,_500.00.fo r the equipment for the Sanitation
Department and which was introduced on Monday, May 23, 1955, and laid on the table for
one week, be passed as read: carrid, Burns, Huza.and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1696, AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted
for the Sanitation Department, and declaring an emergency.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1245, being a resolution of Inten-
tion to improve Prasch Avenue from 8th Avenue South to 9th Avenue South by grading,
ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters, and fixing Monday the
20th day of June,1955, for a hearing thereon, be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1245, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve Prasch Avenue South to 9th
Avenue South, by grading, ballasting, surfacing, and constructing concrete curbs and
gutters.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above describe(
improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the east line of 9th Avenue South,
midway between Prasch Avenue and Lenox Avenue; thence easterly
and parallel with Prasch Avenue to the west line of 8th Avenue
South; thence southerly along said west line to a point midway
between Prasch Avenue and Viola Avenue; thence westerly and
parallel with Prasch Avenue to the east line of 9th Avenue
South,.thence northerly along said east line to the point of
beginning.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Monday the 20th day of June, 1955;
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment fox
said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear-
ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
All costs and expenses in connection with the proposed construc-
tion of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection advertising, publication
of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and assessed against
all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as
above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City
Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and
other information required by law to be by him submitted; all of said improvements to be
constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the
City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.

RESOLUTION NO. C -1246, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to
serve the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County,
Washington, to -wit:
Lots 1 to 15, inclusive, of the Rolling Green Addition to the
City of Yakima, Washington,
said improvement to consist of the construction of the necessary main, lateral, service
connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation
purposes to each lot and tract within the proposed district; and to be constructed in
full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer an(
filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its offices in the City Hall, in the City of Yakima,
Yakima,County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 otclock a.m. on Monday, the 20th day of
June, 1955; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating
to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of
payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice
of hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expenses of said improvement, including the engine-
ering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident
thereto, shall be levied and assessed against the above described property, and borne
and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as
provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub-
mit to the City Commission at or prior to the date herein fixed for said hearing, all of
the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.

10 otclock A.M: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY, JUNE 3, 1955, 10:00 A.M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and
Huey present on roll call.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the bid of Bell -Wyman company in the sum of $1,59$•59
for a 1/2 ton truck for the Irrigation Department be accepted as the lowest and best bid:
carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza that we do now adjourn: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
