The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll'-,call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 2nd, 1955, were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving bids for. the Sewage Lift Station and Pipe line for the
Interceptor Sewer Project, the following bids were received:
Everett Mc Kellar $124,700.00
John Klug & Co., & Hans Skov Construction
Company 138,770.00
Packard Pipe & Pump Company 1111,081.00
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that.action on awarding said bids be deferred until a
later date: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye. on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Clerk:is hereby authorized to advertise
for bids for the construction.of .a sewer system in L.I:D. No. 807, in the Rolling Green
Addition; said bids to be re. ceive. d. on..Monday,..May...16th.,.1955, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried,
Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on.roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey that Ordinance No. B -1688 providing for the expenditum
of $1,193.83, for witness fees in the case of Wadekamper vs. the City of Yakima, and
which at the time of presentation was read in full by the City Clerk and laid on the
table to await the return of Mr. Huza, Finance Commissioner for unanimous vote by the
City Commission and this being the time for final passage of said ordinance.; it was
MOVED by Huza, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1688, providing for the expendi-
ture of said sum of $1,193.83 as above set forth, be passed as read: carried, Burns,
Huza.and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -16$$1 AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted
for the payment of witness fees in court litigation pertaining to a city sewer line,
and declaring an emergency.
This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll coveringg L.I.D. No. ?99 pro-
viding for the construction of an irrigation system on Lots 1 to 16, inclusive of the
Rice Dibbert Addition and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise, to said
improvement, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance
No. B -1689, confirming said assessment roll, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -16891 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local
Improvement District No. 799 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1659 of the
Ordinances of the City of Yakima.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that Ordinance No. B -1690, fixing the time-of delinquent
of installments in L.I.D. No. 795, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -16901 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 795, and providing for the issuance-of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
This being the time for the hearing on the petition for annexation of the Yakima
Municipal Airport and other property in that vicinity contiguous to the City of Yakima;
and there being insufficient protest.against said annexation, or any part thereof; it
was MOVED by Huza, seconded by Huey that Ordinance No. B -1691, annexing said territory
and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on
on roll calla
ORDINANCE NO. B -1691, AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima,
Washington, of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington.
MOVED by Burns, seconded by Huza that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, May 10th, 1955,
at 10 o'clock A.M. carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, May 10th, 1955, 10 :00 A.M.

Huey present on roll call.
This being the time for receiving bids for Garbage equipment, the following bids were
received:

carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
