The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioner, Huey present on
roll call. Huza absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 25, 1955, were approved as read.
This being the time for the hearing on the petition for annexation of property beginning
at the intersection of the center line of Lincoln Avenue with the center line of Cresent
Drive; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded.by. Burns...that..action on said petition be deferred
for further information from property -owners:. carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll
call. Huza absent.
This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1234, providing for the vacation
of the alley over Lots 22, 23 and 24 in Block 29.of the original townsite of North Yakima
(now Yakima), which vacation was petit.ioned.for..by.Yakima County, and there being no
objection in writing or otherwise.to said vacation, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by
Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B-1684,, vacating said property and every part
thereof, be passed as read: carried, , Burns...and...Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent
ORDINANCE NO. B -1684, AN ORDINANCE.pr..oviding for..the vacation of the public alley over .
Lots 22, 23 and 24 of Block 29, original.townsite of North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington,
being a strip of land 15 feet wide, the boundaries of the extremities of said strip being
the South line of Lot 24 extended easterly and the West line of said Block 29.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1685, rezoning certain specific
property situate in the City of- Yakima, Washington more particularly described in said
ordinance, be passed as read carried,. Burna. and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza
absent.
ORDINANCE N04 B -16852 AN ORDINANCE rezoning certain specific property situate in the
City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington.
This being the time for the hearing on ,Resolution No. C -1235, being a Resolution of interi-
tion for the construction of a sewer system on West Chestnut Street and 34th Avenue South
etc., and there being no objections in writing or otherwise -to said improvement, or any
part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Burns th at-Ordiftance No. B -16$5, creating
L.I.D. No.' 807, be passed as read: carried, Burns, and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Huza absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1686, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by
constructing a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches, manholes, and flush tank;
establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor,
and creating a special fund.
This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a sewer district in Blocks
19 2, 3, g. -.and 9 of "THE UPLANDS", the following were received: ,

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Resolution No. C -1241 being a resolution of inten-
tion to improve the alley in Block 132, Yakima by grading and paving the same with asphal-
tic concrete placed on a crushed rock base, and setting Monday, May 23rd 1955, for the
date of hearing on same, be adopted as read: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll
call. Huza absent.
RESOLUTION NO. C -12411 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMNISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve the alley in Block 132,
Yakima, by grading and paving with asphaltic concrete placed on a crushed rock base; all
of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance-.,with the plans and specifica-
tions to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above described
improvement will include the following, to -wit:
Lots 1 to 16 inclusive, of Block 132, Yakima, according to the
plat thereof recorded in the office of the Auditor of Yakima
County, Washington.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Monday the 23rd day of May, 1955;
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for
said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear.'irg
and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expenses of said improvement, including the engi:-
rnering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident
thereto, shall be levied and assessed against the property legally and properly assess-
able therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby
directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said
hearing, all of the date and other information required by law to be by him submitted.

Moved by Burns; seconded by Huey that Resolution No. C -1242, authorizing the Mayor and
City Clerk to enter into a grant agreement on behalf of the City of Yakima, for the pur-
pose of obtaining Federal aid in the development of the Yakima Municipal Airport, in the
sum,of $51,000.00, as more fully set forth and described in said resolution, be adopted
as read: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent.
RESOLUTION NO. C -12429 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the City of Yakima shall enter into a grant
agreement for the purpose of obtaining Federal Aid in the development of the Yakima
Municipal Airport and that such agreement shall be as set forth herein.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to execute said grant agreement in sextuplicate on.behalf of the
City of Yakima and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to impress thereon
the official seal of the City of Yakima and attest said execution; and the City of Yakima
does hereby - accept the Federal aid grant in the sum of $51,000.00 as more fully provided
in said grant agreement.
Section 3. The City of Yakima specifically ratifies and adopts
all statements, representations, warranties, covenants and agreements contained in the
project application and the sponsor's assurance agreement.
Section 4. A copy of the grant agreement referred to herein is
attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof as fully as though the same were set
forth in* detail in this resolution.

existing city limits; 206.1 fee8; thence north 271 feet; thence west 46.1 feet; thence
North 110 feet; thence North ?9 49' west 12.6 feet; thence North 53006' west 159.6 feet;
thence west 20 feet to the center line of Crescent Drive; thence south along the center
line of Crescent Drive to'the point of beginning, situate in Yakima County, Washington
annexing said property and every part thereof to the City of Yakima'..be passed as read:

ORDINANCE NO. B -16879 AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima,
Washington, of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington.
