hereby notified to a-ppear and present such ob%jec'tions, if any, at a meeting, of the City
Commission to be held at' its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County

time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating so said proposed
improvement or objections thereto, and for determining, the method of payment for said
improvement; and the city clerk is hereby directed to give due notice-of said hearing
and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvements.
All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said
improvement, including the post of engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of
notices, cost of acquiring right-of-way easements and all other expenses incident there-

plans and specifications prepared and submitted by Stevens and -Thompson of Portland,
Oregon, for the construction of the South interceptor Sewer and drain "line, be adopted
as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION 140. C-11961 ESE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO1V'_%'11ISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
1. That the City Commission hereby accepts and approves the
plans and specifications prepared and stibmitted by Stevens and Thompson of Portland,
Oregon, for the construction of the South Tnterceptor Sewer and drain line. .
2. Tat the City of Yakima, shall forthwith call for competitive
bids for furnishing; materials and labor and constructing the said sewer line project in
accordance with said plans and specifications; and that -iotice of said call for bids
should be published ti-Iree times weekly in the Yakima Daily Republic and shall be publish
ed. twice in the Seattle Daily Journal of C`onm�-,erce; and the said bids shall be opened at
-the office of said City Commission on Thursday, the 10th day of February, 1955, at 3:00
o'clock P.M.; and the City reserves -the rig' ' t to reject any and all bids; and each bid
shall be accompanied by cash, certified check, or 11-2id bond in the amount of not less
than 5% of such bid, the City reserving the right at its option to waive any informali-
ties in connection therevvith.
3. That said sewer line project shall bc, paid for out of -the
proceeds of a revenue bond issue to be issued by the said City pursuant to an ordinance
therefor to be later passed.
4. That said City accepts an'd approves and the Mayor and the
City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute th,---1,t certain permit and agree-
ment fTith the Northern Pacific Raill;tiray Company, the same being sewer pipe permit No.
78869 of said rail-vjay company dated January 15, 1955, for passing said sewer line under
the tracks of said rail-v;ay' company, the same bei-_,-i,- in the form heretofore prepared and
submitted by said'_ raila,;ay comp tny.
