JANUARY,3, 1955
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and'Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 28, 1954 and adjourned meetings
thereof, were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a storm drain on 16th
Avenue South the following were received:

It was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that said bids be taken under advisement, carriec
Burns, Huza and.,Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the Pennsylvania Salt Company of Tacoma, being
given the contract for 100 lbs. chlorine at 7 cents per pound, for use in the City
Water Department, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the applicationof,'Albert J. Purdy and employee in
the Irrigation Department for extension of time in the Retirement system, for one year,
starting February 1st, 1955 and ending February 1st, 1956, unless further extended,
carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the application of Harry Liebold, an employee of
the City Water Department, for extension of time in the Retirement System from March 1st
1955 to March 1st 1956, be approved unless furth extended, carried: Burns,Huza and
Huey voting ave on roll call.
This being the time for the hearing on the assessment ' roll in L.I.D. No. 778, providing
for the construction 'of Curbs and Gutters on Cleman Avenue and there being no objections
to said assessment roll, or any part'--thereof, it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza
that Ordinance No. B-1641, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be
passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B-16411 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local
Improvement District No. 778 as created and established by Ordinance No. B-1583 of the
Ordiiiances of the City of Yakima.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the report of the Investment Committee, for invest-
ments purchased during the month of December 1954, be approved as follows:.
