OCTOBER 25, 1954
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, October 18th, 1954, were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of the Westview Addition
Sewer district, L.I.D. No. 791, the following were received:

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the bid of Carroll & Sanislo in the sum of $3,286.
be accepted as the lowest and best bid and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter
into a contract on behalf of the City of.Yakima, upon the filing of the proper bond as
required by law, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1166, providing for the construc-
tion of an irrigation system on 21st Avenue and other streets in said district, and there
being a petition of remonstrance filed by property owners in said district; it was MOVED
by Huey, seconded by Burns that said petition be checked by the City Engineer and a re-
port be made with reference to the formation of a. local improvement district at a later
date; carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
This being the time for the hearing on the Assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 771, providing
for the construction of the Clinton Way Sewer district, and there being'no objections in
writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; it was Moved by Huey
seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1611, confirming said assessment roll and every
part thereof, be passed as read,.carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting; aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -16111 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve-
ment District No. 771 as created and. established by Ordinance No. B -1564 of the Ordinanc-
es of the City of Yakima.
This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 775, providing
for the construction of the Rice- Dibbert sewer district, and there being no objections
in writing, or otherwise, to said assessment roll or any part thereof; it was Moved by
Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1612, confirming said assessment roll and
every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll
call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1612, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improv
ment'District No. 775 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1574 of the Ordinanc
es of the City of Yakima.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Barns that Ordinance No. B- 1613,fixing the time of delinquen
and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 769, be passed as read, carried: Bu -rns,
Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1613, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 769, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1614, fixing the time of delinquent
and presceibing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 776, be passed as read, carried: Burns
Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE No. B -1614, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 776, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the umpa.id portion thereof.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that Resolution No. C -1172, relative to supplying the
Irrigation department with the sum of $500.00 for auto maintenance for the 1954 budget,
be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1172, WHEREAS, an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of the
additional slim of $500.00 for auto maintenance of the City Irrigation Department in ex-
cess of the sum budgeted therefor, and the said sum is available for transfer from the
item of Water Stock Assessments of said Irrigation Department for 1954; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA
That the sum of $500.00 of the Irrigation Department budget for
1954, be transferred from the item Water Stock Assessment to Auto Maintenance of said
Irrigation Department; and the said additional sum of $500.00 may be expended in 1954
for auto maintenance of said Irrigation Department.

Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the claim of Bertha F. Harding, in the sum of
$5,500.00 for damages alleged to have been sustained by reason of falling in front of
the Municipal Airport Administration building on the 16th of September 1954, is hereby
rejected, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
