The minutes of the regular meeting o�� Monday, June 21st, 195 , were approved as .read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey seconded by Huza, that this being the time for receiving, bids for the construction of a sewer on Lots 1 to 16, inclusive, Block 2, Shannon Homes Addition, the fol]_owin- were received: N. Moved_ by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1136, being a resolution of inten- tion to improve 35th Avenue North from Summitview Ave to Lincoln and other streets more particularly described in said resolution by constructing curbs and gutters, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTIOiv NO.. 0-1136, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMISSIOhT OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve 35th Avenue North from Summitview Avenue to Lincoln Avenue; Jefferson Avenue from 35th Avenue North to Grandview Avenue; and 24th Avenue North from Jefferson Avenue to Lincoln Avenue by grad- ing, ballasting, surfacing; and by constructing concrete curbs and gutters; all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to b( prepared b,T the City Engineer and filed with City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above - describe( improvement is situate in Yakima County, ',^gashington, and described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of the west line of 35th Avenue North with the north line of Summitview Avenue; thence westerly along the north line of Summitview Avenue to a point 118 feet east of the east line of North Hillcrest Avenue; thence northerly and -parallel with the east line of North Hillcrest Avenue to Lincoln Avenue; thence easterly along Lincoln Avenue to a point 120 feet east of the east line of 34th Avenue North, said point beinm the northeast corner of Lot 21, Block 1, of Flagg Addition; thence southerly along the east line of said Lot 21 a distance of 130 feet; thence easterly and parallel with Jefferson Avenue to 32nd Avenue North; thence southerly along 32nd Avenue North to a point 130 feet south of Jefferson Avenue, said point being the southeast corner. of Lot 1, Block 1, of Flagg Addition;, thence westerly and parallel ��,dth Jefferson Avenue to the north- east corner of Lot 9, Shuman Addition; thence southerly along the east line of Lots 9 and 8 Shuman .Addition, the easterly line of Lots 19, 18, 17 and 16, Replat of Shuman Addition, and the east line of Lots 4, 3, 2 and 1 of Shuman Addition to the north line of Summitview Avenue; thence westerly along said north line to the point of beginning. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, '�lashington, at the hour of 10otclock a. m. on Monday the 26th day of July, 1954; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and. for determining the method of payment fog said improvement; and. the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear - ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, pub] _ication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and. properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above-described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. BURNS Mayor Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1137, being a resolution of inten- to improve Lots 1 to 16, inclusive of Blk. 2 of Shannon Homes, by the construction of a domestic water system, be adopted as .read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1137, BE IT RESOLVED 3Y THE CITY COMMIiISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA : That it is its intention to improve the following property by constructing the necessary main, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the 1 1 1 1 IN 1 JUNE 28th, 1954 purpose of supplying water for domestic use. The district to be served by and assessed for the above - described improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington and described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 16 inclusive, Block 2 of Shannon Homes, according to the recorded plat thereof. Said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, �i�Iashington, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m., on Monday the 19th day of July, 1954, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on allnatters relating to to said improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment there- for; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost of this improvement is to be paid for by special assess- ments to be levied against the property in the district, as provided by law, and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to, be by him submitted. BURNS Mayor Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that Resolution No. C -1138 increasing the salary of the Planning Commission Consultant from $350..00 to "375.00, per month, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1138, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIIvIA: That the salary of Donald W. Livingston is hereby increased to and shall be the sum of $375.00 per month commencing as of June lst, 1954, for his services as City Planning Consultant. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that,upon the recommendation of the City Engineer, the bid of Carroll and Sanislo in the sum of $4,119.05 on T & G concrete for the construction of the Clinton May sewer in L.I.D. No. 771,.be accepted as the lowest and best bid, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized. to execute a concract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work, upon the filing of the proper bond as provided by law, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the annexa- tion proceedings of the jeTestview Addition, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said annexation of said territory,,or any part thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1572, providing for the annexation of said V1lestview Addition, and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call ORDINANCE.NO. B -15721 AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima, Washington, of certain property Conti uous to the City of Yakima, Washington.
