The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, March lst, 1954, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for receiving bids on copper
tubing for the Water Department, the following were received:

The bid of Pacific Water Works, in the sum of $1,474.70, being the lowest and best bid;
It is ordered that said bid be accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to -
execute a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for the purchase of said material,
carried:- Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Resolution No. C =1109, providing for the approval
by the City Commission of that certain petition by persons desiring to be annexed to the
City of Yakima, the description of which is more particularly described in said resolut-
ion, be adopted as read, carried.: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO -C -11092 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COTvFISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the City Commission of the City of Yakima does hereby approve that certain
petition which within less than sixty (60) days last past has been filed with said City
Commission proposing the annexation to said City of Yakima of the following described
territory contiguous to said City of Yakima and.situated in Yakima County, Washington,
to-Wit-
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of 16th Avenue with the
center line of Lincoln Avenue; thence north along the center line of 16th
Avenue to.the center line of Fruitvale Boulevard; thence west along the
center line of Fruitvale boulevard to the center line of the Power House
Road; thence southeasterly along the center line of the Power House Road
to its intersection with the center line of Englewood Avenue; thence east
along the center line of Englewood Avenue to a point 175.4 feet east of
the center line of 23rd Avenue North; thence south parallel with 23rd
Avenue North to the center line of Lincoln Avenue, thence east along the
center line of Lincoln Avenue to the point of beginning;
which said petition prays.for the calling of an election to be held among the qualified
voters therein upon the question of annexation of said area to said City of Yakima; and
the said City Commission does hereby approve the said proposed action.

Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza, that Resolution C -1110, providing for the appointment
of Vincent J. Beaulaurier, as Police Judge Pro Tempore, during the absence of Norman R.
Nashem, Jr. be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -11101 A RESOLUTION relating to Police Judge Pro Tempore.
WHEREAS, on August 3, 1953 the City Commission of the City of Yakima passed OrdinancE
No. B'=14$1 entitled "an Ordinance relating to Police Judge Pro Tempore, providing for the
method of his appointment, and fixing his compensation," and
WHEREAS, pursuant thereto Harry Hazel was duly appointed Police Judge Pro Tempore,
and Norman R. Nashem, Jr., Police Judge of the City of Yakima,,is now temporarily absent
for the winter meeting of the American Bar Association and certain official conferences
held in connection therewith, and said Harry Hazel is temporarily unable to serve as
Police Judge Pro Tempore;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COTIlMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That Vincent J. Beaularuier is hereby appointed Police Judge -Pro Tempore to act as
such during this present absence of the Police Judge, and upon taking an oath as therein
provided, he shall have all of the powers and duties and shall be compensated as provided
by said Ordinance No. B -14$1.

of the legal description,.for L.I.D. Nos. 625, and 632, more particularly described in
said resolution, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll

Of certain property covered by assessments for Local Improvement District No. 625
and No. 632.

WHEREAS the hereinafter described property in the City of Yakima, Yakima County,
Washington is subject to assessments heretofore levied and confirmed in Local Improvement
District No. 625 and Local Improvement District No. 632 of said City, and together with
certain additional property not described herein, and except as hereinafter mentioned all
of the property hereinafter referred to is part of the East half of the Northeast quarter
of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 25, Twonship 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M., except streets, said tract of land being hereinafoee for brevity referred to
as "said subdivision ", and
WHEREAS, a survey indicates that the said properties hereinafter referred to by
survey on the ground are in reality seventeen feet south of the locations shown by the
record legal descriptions of said respective properties at the time of the .levy of said
local improvement district assessments and as shown by the said assessment rolls; and sub-
sequent thereto the said record legal descriptions have been corrected by deeds-duly
recorded in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:-
1, That the City Treasurer of said City is hereby authorized, empowered and
directed fully and in all respects to make the following changes and corrections in the
legal descriptions of the following described parcels of real estate shown on the assess-
ment rolls as subject to assessments heretofore levied and confirmed for Local Improvement
District No. 625, in order that the same shall conform to the corrected legal descriptions
of said parcels of real estate now shown of record as corrected since the levy and con-
firmation of said local improvement district assessments, to wit:
(a) That the East half of the North sixty six feet of the South 52$ feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the Eash half of the North sixty six feet of the South 511
feet thereof.
(b) That the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 528 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 511
feet, thereof..
(0 That the East half of the North sixty six feet of the South 462 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the East half of the North sixty six feet of the South 445
feet, thereof.
('d) That the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 462 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 445
feet, thereof.
(e) That the East half of the North sixty six feet of the South 396 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the East half of the North sixty six feet of the South 397
feet, thereof.
Cf) That the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 396 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 379
feet, thereof.
(g) That the East half of the _North sixty six feet of the South -330 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the East half of the North sixty six feet of the South 313
feet, thereof.
(h) That the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 330 feet of said sub -
division, be changed to the West half of the North sixty six feet of the South 313
feet, thereof.
W That the East half of the North eighty eighty feet of the South 264 feet of said
subdivision, be changed to the East half of the North eighty eight feet of the South
247 feet, thereof.
(j) That the West half of the North eighty eight feet of the South 264 feet of said
subdivision, be changed to the West half of the North eighty eight feet of the South
247 feet, thereof.
(k) That the East half of the North forty four feet of the South 176 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the East half of the North forty four feet of the South 159
feet, thereof.
(1) That the West half of the North forty four feet of the South 176 feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the West half of the North forty four feet of the South 159
feet, thereof.
(mY That the North sixty six feet of the South 132 feet, except the West 150 feet of said
subdivision, be changed to the North sixty six feet of the South.115 feet, except the
West 150 feet, thereof.
(n) That the North sixty six feet of the South 132 feet of the East 125 feet of the West
150 feet of said subdivision, be changed to the North sixty six feet of the South 115
feet of the East 125 feet of the West 150 feet,thereof.
(o) That the East half of the North fifty feet of the South sixty six feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the East half of the-South forty -nine feet thereof and the
East half of the the north one foot of the East half of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 25, Twonship 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M., except streets.
(p)' That the West half of the North fifty feet of the South sixty six feet of said sub-
division, be changed to the West half of the South forty nine feet thereof and the
West half of the North one foot of the East half of the Southeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M., except streets.

2. That the City Treasurer of said.City is hereby aurhorized, empowered and directed
fully and in all respects to make the following changes and corrections in the legal
descriptions of the following described parcels of real estate shown on the assessment
rolls as subject to assessments heretofore levied and confirmed for Local Improvement
District No. 632, in order that the same shall conforms to the corrected legal description
of said parcels of real estate now shown of record as corrected since the levy and
confirmation of said local improvement district assessments, to wit:
(a)- That the North sixty six feet of the South 528 feet of said subdivision, be changed
to the North sixty six feet of the South 511 feet, thereof.
(b)' That the North sixty six feet of the South 462 feet of said subdivision, be changed
to the North sixty six feet of the South 445 feet, thereof.
(c)' That the North sixty six feet of the South 396 feet of said subdivision, be changed
to the North sixty six feet of the South 379 feet, thereof.
(d) That the North sixty six feet of the South 330 feet of said subdivision, be changed
to the North sixty six feet of the South 313 feet, thereof.
(e) That the North eighty eight feet of the South 264 feet of said subdivision be changec
to the North eighty eight feet of the South 247 feet, thereof.
(f) That the North forty four feet of the South 176 feet of said subdivision, be changed
to the North forty four feet of the South 159 feet, thereof.
(g) That the North sixty six feet of the South 132 feet of said subdivision, be changed
to the North sixty six feet of the South 115 feet, thereof.
(h) That the North 50 feet of the South sixty six feet of the East half.of the Northeast
quarter of the Northeast quarter of-the Southeast quarter of Section 25, Township
13 North, Range 18 E.W.M., except streets, be changed to the South 49 feet thereof,
and the North one foot of the East half of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 13 North, Range 1$, E.W.M.,
except streets.
3. That the rights of holders of bonds issued by said local improvement districts
will not be prejudiced thereby, and that said changes and corrections of the foregoing
legal descriptions of said parcels of property covered by said assessments should be
made by the City Treasurer, in order that said corrected descriptions shall conform to
the corrected record descriptions of said parcels of property as changed on the Auditors
recorda. of said county subsequent to the levy and confirmation of said assessments.

bids, by publication, as required by law, for a new car for the police department -, said
bids to be received on Monday, March 22nd, 1954 at 10:-00 Otclock A.M., carried: Burris,
