MAY 4, 1953
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns: and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 27th 1953, and adjourned meetings
thereof were approved as read. I
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. C -1054, providing for the paving of Alleys in Block 352 Yordyls Supplemental Addition
and Blocks 413,4141 -and 415 in Bedkers Addition and Bedkers Second Addition, and there
being several objections to said petition; it is ordered that said matter be takeh under
advisement for one week, carried:; Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that the following report of the Investment
Committee for investments for the month of April is hereby approved as follows:

Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that Ordinance B -1454 providing for acquisition by
condemnation of the:.South 30 feet of Lot 53 St. Paul Acre Lots, be pass-,d as read,
carried :: Burns-., Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B- 1454, AN ORDINANCE providing for the acquisition by condemnation or
purchase of real property situtate in Yakima County, Washington described as: South 30
feet of lot 53= Saint Paul acre lots according to the official plat thereof on file and of
record in the office of the County Auditor,' Yakima County, Washington for the purpose of
constructing and extending a public street along and across said premises and providing
for the method of payment therefor.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1455 rezoning Lot 8 of Block
2, Lenox Homesites be passed as read, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on
roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -14559 AN ORDINANCE rezoning Lot 8 of Block 2, Lenox Homesi.tes, from "B"
residence district to Business district, and from Area-district 2:to Area-district 4, and
from Sixty -five foot Height district to Maximum Height district.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter,'that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, May'6th
1953'. at 10 :•00 o1 clock A.142., carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.

Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for hearing on the re-
zoning of that portion of the S. 165 ft of the N. 330 ft. of the E. 264. feet of the
NIT' of NE 4 of Section 24 -13 -18 E.W.M., etc, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huey
and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1456, AN _ORDINANCE rezoning that portion of the South 165 feet of the
North 330 feet of the East 264 feet of the NW 4 NE 4 of Sec. 24,, Township 13' North, Range
18, E.W.M. Yakima County Washington, lying West of the center line of 3rd. Avenue North
extended, from "C " Residence District to Commercial District.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to adverti
for bids for constructing a sewer system on Conrad Addition, L.I.D. No. 750; said bids
to be received on Monday, May 18th 1953, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to advertise
for bids for constructing curbs and gutters on 28th Avenue South, L.I.D. No. 751; said
bids to be received on Monday, May 25th at 10 :00 otclock k.M., carried, Burns,. Huey and
Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
