The City Commission met .in regular session, -Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter
and Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of'Monday, December 18, 1950, were approved as
read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Engineer, having reported the complet-
ion'of the 10th Avenue South,Gurb and Gutter District, L.I.D. 687, said engineer is
hereby'authorized to. prepare an assessment roll therefor, and the :City Clerk instructed
to give Notice of Hearing on said roll for Monday the 22nd day of-January, 1951, at
10 :00 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, 'Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
advertise for bids for the following equipment and material: 5 cars for the Police
Department; 1 car for Fire Department; 2 trucks and sweeper for Street Department;
One 2 -ton truck and garbage bed for Sanitation Department; said bids to be received
on Tuesday, January 2, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.; Also bids on oil, grease, stove oil,
kerosene and solvent and on new fire station for January 8, 1951 at 10 0' clock A.M.;
Also bids on crushed rock for January 15, 1951 at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns,
Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, December
27, 1950., at 10 :00 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll
call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, WEDNESDAY., DECEMBER 27, 1950
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huey
and Carpenter present,on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1206, authorizing the pur-
chase -of the S2 of the S:2 of the NEX of the NE-1 of Sec. 35 -13 -18 E.W.M., for cemetery
purposes, be passed as;read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll
call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1206, authorizing the purchase of real property described as: The
South One -Half of the South One -Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 35, Township 13 Xorth, Range 18, E.W.M., Yakima County, Washington;
for the sum of $10,000.00, for cemetery purposes; and declaring an emergency.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that Resolution No. C -947 be adopted as read:
carried 'Carpenter, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -947, providing for the loan of a sum of money from the Current
Expense Fund to the ,Cemetery Fund; and providing for the re- payment thereof.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has heretofore, by Ordinance
No.-B-1206, authorized the purchase of 10 acres of real property for an addition to
Tahoma Cemetery, for the purchase price of $10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, there are not sufficient funds in the Cemetery Fund
to pay the purchase price of said real property; now, therefore,
BE IT. RESOLVED BY THE, CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That, the sum of $10,000.00 be rtransferred or loaned from the
Current Expense Fund to-the Cemetery Fund;-said loan to be re -paid to the Current
Expense Fund.from the Cemetery Fund budgeted therefor in 1952.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer make.the necess-
ary transfer from the Current Expense Fund to the Cemetery Fund, as herein authorized
and provided for.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 27th day of
