The 'City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 4, 1950, and adjourned meeting
thereof, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns;. that the City Engineer, having reported the complet-
ion of the 34th Avenue North sewer district, L.I.L. No. 697; said Engineer is hereby
authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City L lerk instructed
to give notice by publication as required by law for a hearing on said assessment roll
for Tuesday, January 2, 1951, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for the hearing on
Resolution No. C -942, providing for the construction of a domestic water system, and
there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or any part
thereof: It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -12042 creating Local Improvement District
No. 711, be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1204, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima,
Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system, establishing a local im-
provement district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special
fund.,
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. °C -943, providing for a domestic water system on 34th Avenue South, etc., and there
being objections to said improvement by property owners abutting on Tieton Drive; It
is ordered that said hearing be postponed until a later date: carried Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO.. C -945, WHEREAS, Section 3 of Ordinance_ No. B -731, passed by the City
Commission of the 'City of Yakima, on the 18th day of June, 1946, provides among other
things that the City Commission may by resolution declare that public convenience re-
quires different locations or arrangements of bus stops for Yakima Valley Transporta-
tion .Company busses; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY ,'=.EMISSION OF THE CITY OF 'YAKIMA:
That pursuant to the Ordinance hereinabove mentioned, the
Yakima Valley Transportation Company, a corporation, be and it is hereby ordered and
directed to stop it:s busses at additional bus stops located as follows:
The Southeast corner of the intersection of North 8th Avenue
and Fruitvale Boulevard.
The Southeast corner of the intersection of North 9th Avenue
and Fruitvale Boulevard.
The Southeast corner of the intersection of North 10th ,Avenue
and Fruitvale Boulevard.
The Southeast corner of the intersection of North 11th Avenue
and Fruitvale Boulevard.
The Southeast corner of the intersection of North 15th Avenue
and Fruitvale Boulevard.
The Southeast corner of the intersection of North 16th Avenue
and Fruitvale Boulevard.
The bus stops herein provided for shall each be for a distance
of 45 feet East from the Southeast corner of said intersection.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 11th day of December, 1950.

Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Resolution No. C -945, relating to bus stops, be
adopted as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -946, WHEREAS, Article 8 of Ordinance No. B -131, passed by the City
Commission of the City of Yakima on the 26th day of February, 1936, and amendments there-
to, provides, among other things, that the City :Commission shall, by Resolution, desig-
nate locations for parallel parking, and set aside non - parking zones as they in their
discretion may deem necessary; and shall cause the same to be marked with appropriate
signs or markers; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the preservation of public safety to
designate parallel parking locations, and to set aside additional non - parking zones in
the City of Yakima; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the South side of Fruitvale Boulevard, from North Fifth
Avenue to North Sixteenth Avenue, is hereby designated a location for parallel parking.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY -COMMISSION OF' THE CITY OF
YAKI'MA: That the forth side of Tieton Drive, for a distance of 20 feet from a point 200
feet West of the intersection of South 28th Avenue and Tieton Drive, to a point 180 feet
lAest of said intersection, is hereby set aside as a non - parking zone.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, this 11th day of December, 1950.

and Carpenter present on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1205, providing for the pur-
chase of a tract.of land, more particularly described in said ordinance, for a site
for a Fire Station, in the sum of $3,500.00, be passed as read: carried Burns, Huey
and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1205, authorizing the purchase of real property described as:
That portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22, Township.
13 forth, Range 18 E.W.M., described as follows:
Beginning at a point 365.75 feet West of the Northeast
corner of said subdivision; thence West 58.08 feet;
thence South 218 1/3 feet; thence East 58.08 feet;_
thence North 218 1/3 feet to the point of beginning;
LESS the Forth 30 feet thereof for Su.mmitview Avenue;
situate in Yakima County, Washington; for the sum of
$3,500.00 as a site for an additional fire station
building; and declaring an emergency.
