The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, 'September 11, 1950, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -927, providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on Broadway from Pine Street to Lenox Avenue, and there being no objections to said improvement or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1169, creating.; Local Improvement District No. 704, be passed as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1169, providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing, and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for -the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -928 providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on Walnut Street from 28th_ Avenue South to 30th Avenue South and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement or an \T part thereof; It is ordered that Ordin- ance I11fo. B -1170 creating Local Improvement District No. 705, be passed as read: carried -Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDIPvANCE NO. 8 -1170, providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a` Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Resolution No. C-931 providing for type and location of all official traffic signs and traffic control signals hereafter to be placed upon the streets of the City of Yaki:iia, be adopted as read: carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. +C -931, tiWIIEREAS, Article 3 of Ordinance No. A -1228, passed by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, on the 22nd day of September, 1930, as amended by Ordinance No. B -131, passed by the City Commission of the-City of Yakima on the 26th day of -February, 1936, and amendments thereto, provides, among other things, that the City -Commission shall, by Resolution adopted by majority vote, determine and designate the character, type and location of all official traffic signs and traffic control signals hereafter to be placed upon the streets, alleys and public places of the City of Yakima; and It is necessary for the preservation of public safety to determine and designate certain traffic signs and traffic control signals at various street intersections in the City of Yakima; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE •CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the following official traffic signs and traffic control signals be placed at the intersection of the following named streets, to -wit: A stop sign on the Northeast corner of the intersection of North Third Avenue and West Poplar Street; A four -way blinking "Stop" and "Go" signal at the intersection of North Grandview Avenue and Summitview Avenue; A four -way automatic traffic signal at the intersection of West Yakima Avenue and Second Avenue; A stop sign on the West side of North Fifth Avenue and West North Avenue (commonly known as West "I" Street.) RESOLUTION NO. 1C -932, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COP81ISSION OF THE 'CITY OF YAKIMA, 11VN: That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system to serve all of the lots and tracts of land included within the following described district situated in Yakima County, Washington: Beginning at the intersection of 27th Avenue North and Englewood Avenue; thence Westerly along Englewood Avenue to a point 134.2 feet West of the eldest line of 27th Avenue North; thence Southerly and parallel with. said West line to the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Wallingford Subdivision No. 5; thence Southeasterly along the Southerly line of said Lot 3 to 27th Avenue North; thence Easterly to the Southwest corner of Lot 41 Wallingford Subdivision No. 5; thence continuing Easterly along the South line of said Lot 4 to the Southeast corner thereof; thence Northerly and parallel with 26th Avenue North to the South line of Wallingford Addition No. 2; thence Westerly along said South line to the Southeast corner of Lot 8 of Wallingford Subdivision No. 5; thence Northerly along the Past line of said lot to Englewood Avenue; thence Westerly to point of beginning. l L' 1 1 1 1 1 1 September 18, 1950 Said improvement to consist of the installation of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the.purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons.who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby-notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 9th day of October, 1950, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters relating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The ,cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, - inspection, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, ,all of 'the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. RESOLUTION NO. (C-933.t BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIT,1A, WN: That it is its intention to improve 34th Avenue North from Summitview Avenue to Jefferson A venue, by grading, ballasting, surfacing and construct- ing concrete curbs and gutters; all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point on the North line of Summitview Avenue, midway between 34th Avenue North and 35th Avenue North; thence Northerly along a line midway between 34th Avenue North and 35th Avenue North to Jefferson Avenue; thence Easterly along Jefferson Avenue to the Northeast corner of Lot 9, Block 1, Flagg Addition; thence Southerly along the Easterly lines of Lot 9, Block 1, Flagg Addition; Lots 6 -10 inclusive, Replat Shuman Addition and Lots 1 -5 inclusive, Rice's Plat to the North line of Summitview Avenue; thence Westerly along; said North line to the point of beginning.
