The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, September 5, 1950, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by :Burns that all bids received for the purchase of a snow
and dirt loader for the Street Dept.be tabled for the present time: carried Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on.roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter that the reports of the City Engineer for the
completion of L.I.D'No's 658, 6615, 666, 690 and 691 be accepted and the City Clerk
instructed to give notice for hearing on the assessment rolls now on file in the City
Treasurer's office for Monday, September 25, 1950, at 10 o'clock a.m: carried Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice
to contractors for grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and
gutters on South First Avenue from Lenox Avenue to Mead and Viola Avenue to Broadway;
said bids to be received on Monday, September 25, 1950, at 10 o'clock a.m: carried
Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns that Gladys H. Richter, be appointed to the office
of City Treasurer to serve during the pleasure of the 'City Commission: carried Burns,
Carpenter-and Huey voting ayeeon roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter that we do now adjourn: carried Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting; aye on roll call.
