The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 28, 1950, were approved as read. Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter that the application of Smith -Cook Furniture 'Co. for permission to. conduct an auction sale is hereby granted: carried Burns., Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey that the estimates of expenses and receipts for the 1951 budget as presented by the 'Commissioner of Finance is hereby accepted: carried Burns., carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by` Carpenter, seconded by Burns that the bid of Cormier Chevrolet 'Co. for a 1950 Chevrolet 4 -door sedan for the Police Department, together with trade in of a 1947 Chevrolet in the total sum of $870.00 is hereby accepted: carried Burns, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll call. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns that the bid of Burrows Motor 'Co. for a Ford 3/4 ton Pickup Truck for the Street Dept., including a trade -in of a 1934 Ford Pickup in the total sum of $1,476.80 is hereby accepted: carried Burns, 'Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll. call.
