June 5th, 1950
G.W. Burns, Owen 0. Carpenter and Grant E. Huey, having heretofore been elected
to the offices of Mayor, Commissioner of Finance and Accounting and Commissioner of
Public Works, respectively, at a. general election held in the City of Yakima, Washing-
ton, on the 14th day of march 1950, said election providing that such elected officials
should take office on Monday, the 5th day of June 1950, and said above named officials
having taken their oath of office before a Superior Judge of Yakima County, and filed
their bonds with the Clerk of Yakima County as provided by law, said newly inducted
officials proceeded to conduct the business of the City of Yakima as the City Commission
of said City of Yakima., Washington, as follows:
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that George E. Clark, be appointed to the
office of City Attorney, to serve during the pleasure of the City Commission, or until
his successor is duly appointed and qualified: Carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that there being no further business to come
before the Commission, we do now adjourn: Carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye
on roll. call.
