HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/08/1950 Business Meetingi 1 I 1 May 8, 1950 The City 'Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and Clark' present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 1, 1950 and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for receiving bids for constructing an Irrigation System in L.I.D. 689, the bid of G.G. Teskey in the sum of $18,820.32 was accepted as the lowest and best bid. For the construction of curbs and gutters in L.I.D. No. 687, Joe Brandt was the lowest and best bidder in the sum of $46,773.56. For the construction of the Brackett Heights Sewer District, L.I.D. No. 691, W. A. Klimpel was the lowest bidder in the sum of $2,863.60. For the construction of a sewer on Power House Road, L.I.D. No. 690, W. A. Klimpel- was'.the lowest bidder, in the sum of $2,940.55. The mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the above contracts for and on behalf of the City of Yakima upon filing of the proper bonds: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark =Toting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the report of the Investment :Committee for investments purchased during the month of April, 1950, are hereby approved as follows: City Commissioners, Yakima, Washington. Gentlemen: The following investments were purchased during the month of April: Cemetery Trust Yakima L.I.D. 664 - Warrant #4611 Yakima L.I.D. 678 - Bonds 1 to 22" Yakima L.I.D. 680 - Warrant #4610 C.R. for Library Bldg, Yakima L.I.D. 663 - Bonds 1 to 14 Yakima L.I.D. 671 - Bonds 1 to 14 Yakima L.I.D. 674 - Bonds 1 to 13 Yakima L.I.D. 677 - Bonds 1 to 12 Yakima L.I .D . 678 - 'Bonds 1 to 22 Larson Library Trust Yakima L.I.D. 678 - Bonds 1 to 14 APPROVED BY INVESTMENT COMMITTEE: N. ORDINANCE NO. B -1140, providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund.
