HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/01/1950 Business MeetingMay 1, 1950 The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and ;Commissioners Bishop and (Clark present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 24, 1950, and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the ordinance introduced Monday, April 24th, 1950, providing for the expenditure of $1,000.00 not included in tine 1950 budget, for funds to expend for planing an overhead crossing at or near Lenox Avenue, is hereby rejected: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1139, re- zoning Lots 1 to 12 inclusive of Neilan's Memorial Heights, according to the official plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Vlashington. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -1139 rezoning Lots .1 to 12 Inc. of Neilan's Idemorial Heights, be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. In consideration of the matter of right of way for a pump over the Carson property at 618 Broadway Avenue and after the report of the City Attorney; It was moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that the City Attorney be authorized to offer the sum of $550.00 to said Carson for a quit claim deed executed by Carson and Irwin and the cost of the right of way charged to the Local Improvement District: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop voting no. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, May, 3, 1950, at 10 o'clock a.m.- carried Buck, F-;ishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 1950 The City Commission met pursuant to adjounm3ent, Mayor Buck and ,Commissioners Clark and Bishop present on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -910, WHEREAS the City of Yakima entered into a contract dated July 14, 1949 with the Columbia Asphalt PavingCompany in connection with certain paving in the area of the Municipal Administration Building at the Yakima Airport; AND WHEREAS all the work under said contract as included in Airport Contract Project No. 9-45-023-9 has been completed in a manner acceptable to the City Engineer and to the Yakima City iCommissione NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE °CITY COMMISSION of Yakima, Washington, that the work under said contract is accepted and approved and the final payment therefor shall be due and payable 30 days from the date of this resolution, subject however to agreement between the parties hereto as to quantities, ADOPTS BY THE CITY COMMISSION signed and approved this 3rd day of May, 1950., ATTEST: PEARL BENJAMIN City Clerk (SEAL) N.
