The minutes of the regular meeting of March 6, 1950, and adjourned meeting, were approved as read. Moved by ,Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the adjourned hearing on Resolution No. C -891 and there being further arguments for and against said propo- sition; It was ordered that said meeting be again postponed to Monday, -I:Zarch 20, 1950, at 10 o'clock a.m: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. BEFORE THE BOARD OF' COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA STATE OF WASHINGTON In the Matter of the Vacation of ) certain dedicated Streets in the ) plat of Shuman Addition to the ) City of Yakima, Washington, more ) RESOLUTION NO. C -898 particularly described herein. ) A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on Petition for Vacation of Streets. WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the 'City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of Streets in the plat of Shuman Addition to the City of Yakima described as follows, to -wit: That portion designated on said Plat as Browne Avenue 25 feet in width abutting on the North of Lot 4 of Shuman Addition, and that portion of said Browne Avenue 25 feet in width abutting on the South of Lots 5, 14 and 15 of said Shuman Addition; also all-of 34th Avenue as shown on said plat of Shuman Addition, being a strip of land 50 feet in width abutting on the East side of Lots 10, 1119 12, 13 and 14 of said Shuman Addition and abutting on the West side of Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 of said Shuman Addition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That said Petition shall be brought on for hearing and determination on Monday, the 10th day of April, 1950, at the hour of 10 :00 of clock in the forenoon on said day at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law. C -899, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ,CITY C%1MISSION: Section 1. That Resolution No. C -886, adopted by the City Commission, January 9, 1950, establishing a schedule of rates for occupancy of the Administration Building at the Municipal Airport, be and the same hereby is repealed. C -9001 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN: That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to serve the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Beginning at the northeast corner of the intersection of Grandview Avenue and Lincoln Avenue; thence north- erly along the east line of Grandview Avenue a distance of 740.8 feet, thence easterly 632.8 feet to the east line of the West half of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 23, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.; thence southerly along said East line to the Naches & Cowiche Canal; thence southerly and westerly along said canal to the north line of Lincoln Avenue; thence westerly along said north line to the point of beginning. Said improvement to consist of the installation of necessary mains, laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation purposes to each lot within the proposed district described above and to be construc- ted in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City 1 1 1 March 13, 1950 Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the -City of Yakima, Yakima County, 1,11ashington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m., on Monday, the 3rd day of April, 1950, which time and place are hereby fixed for the-hearing of all matters re- lating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. 'The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost -of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the {City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the - data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. B -1113, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for'the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 673, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. ORDINANCE NO. B -1114, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 675, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. ORDINANCE NO. B -1115, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 676, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. ORDINANCE NO. B -1116, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 684, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof, ORDINANCE NO. B -1117, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 685, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance.No's B -1113, B -1114, B -1115, B -1116 and B- 1117,:fixing the time of delinquency and providing for the issuance of bonds in L.I.D:-No's 673, 675, 676, 684 and 685 respectively, be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- 11181 providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for the purchase by the Fire Department of an Explosimeter, and declaring an emergency. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -1118, be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that we do now adjourn to meet Thursday, March 16th, 1950, at 10 o'clock a.m: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING THURSDAY, MARCH 16, 1950 The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Clark and Bishop present on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for the construction of an irrigation district on Fruitvale Blvd; the following were received: J. M. DeBlasio $14,335.90, Ralph W. Hedges $12,462.15, State Construction Co $12,272.05 and G.G. Teskey $10,506.60. The bid of G.G. T.eskey being the lowest bid, said contract was awarded to him: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by (Clark,-seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for piping the Broadgage and the R.S. & C. Ditch, the following were received on the Broad - gage Ditch; State Construction Co. $7,192.75, Yakima Cement Products $6,446.00, Union Concrete Pipe Co. $6,335.03 and on the R.S. & Co. Ditch: State 'Construction Co. $8,425.35p Yakima 'Cement Products :Co. $6,698.45 and Union Concrete Pipe (Co. $6,540.02. The bid of Union :Concrete Pipe Co. in the sum of 6,335.03 for the Broadgage Ditch and $6,540.02 for R.S. and C.
