The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 30, 1950, and adjourned meeting, were approved as read. RESOLUTION NO. C- 8B9-;�- WHEREAS, by ordinance, it is provided that on the first Monday in February of each year, the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, shall pass a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION that the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year shall be in substantial the form hereto attached and made a part hereof, and the city clerk is hereby directed to give notice for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city advertising for the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city printing and advertising for two consecutive issues, which notice shall contain a general statement of the terms of.the contract to be let, together with the time and place when said bids will be opened, and providing that any and all bids may be rejected. C -890, BE IT-RESOLVED BY THE CITY 'COMb - TISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKI':MA, WN: That it is its intention to improve a portion.of Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima by grading, ballasting, surfacing, constructing concrete curbs and gutters and by constructing two reinforced concrete bridges across the Naches and Cowiche Canal, all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvements is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Grandview Avenue; thence northerly along Grandview Avenue a distance of 608.7 feet; thence easterly along the north line of Lincoln Heights Addition No. 2 to 30th Avenue North; thence southeasterly to a point on the east line of the West half of the Northeast quart -ar of the Northwest quarter of Section 23, Township 13 North, _Range 18, E.W.M., which is midway between Lincoln Avenue and Power House Road; thence southerly to a point which is 604.4 feet south of the south line of Lincoln Avenue; thence westerly and parallel with said ,south line -of Lincoln Avenue to Grandview Avenue; thence northerly along Grandview Avenue to point of beginning. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m., on Monday, the 27th day of February, 1950, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvements or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvements. The cost and expense of said improvements, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. 'C -891, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIC CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIIMA, WN: That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to serve the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Beginning at the southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.1M.. thence westerly along the south line of said subdivision to North Second Street; thence northerly along North Second Street to the north corporate limits of theCity of Yakima; thence easterly along said north corporate limits to the northeast corner of Lot 4, Park Addition,; thence southerly along the east line of said Lot 4, extended, to the north line of Block 1, of Cascade Addition; thence easterly 1 C it 1 1 1 February 6. 1950 along said north line to North Seventh Street; thence southerly along North Seventh Street to the south line of the Northwest quarter of Section 18, Township .13 North, Range 19, E.W.M.; thence westerly along said south line to the point of beginning. Said improvement to consist of the.installation of necessary mains, laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for.irrigation purposes to each lot within the proposed district described above and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with .the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance B -1096 relating to certain types of sewer connections be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1097, rezoning the following property-in the City of Yakima: The South 96 feet of the West 270 feet of Lot 2 of Leaming's Addition, according to the official plat on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -1097 rezoning the South 96 feet of West 270 feet of Lot 2, Leaming's Addition be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
