The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 23, 1950 were approved as read. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -1095, providing for the estab- lishment of a Housing Authority pursuant to the Federal Housing Act of 1949, author - izing the City Commission to approve Loan requests for preliminary planning, and re- ferring the same to a vote of the people as provided by the (City Charter, be passed as read: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. (Clark voting no. ORDINANCE NO. B -1095, establishing a Housing Authority for the City of Yakima pursu- ant to the Federal Housing Act of 1949, authorizing the 'City Commission to approve loan requests for preliminary planning and referring the same to vote of the people of the !City of Yakima as provided by the (City Charter. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the report of the Investment Committee for the purchase of investments for the month of January, 1950, be approved as follows: City Commissioners, Yakima, Washington Gentlemen: The following investments were purchased during the month of January: ,Cemetery Trust Yakima L.I.D. 673 - Warrant 4573 3.00 Yakima L.I.D. 678 - Warrant 4577 1,242.06 Yakima L.I.D. 680 - Warrant 4580 29.25 1,274.31 Yours very truly, Faye Simmons .'City Treasurer APPROVED: INVESTMENT 'COMMITTEE N. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that.this being the time for receiving bids for lobby furniture and office equipment, the bid of Rosser and Sutton, in the sum of $4,264.61 was accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
