The City :Commission met in regular session, Mayor duck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of- Monday; December 12, 1949, and adjourned
meetings thereof were approved as read.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the 'City Engineer having filed the assessment
rolls in L.I.U. No's 673, 675, 6761 684 and 685, said rolls are hereby accepted and
the 'City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said assessment..rolls for
iVlonday, January 16, 1950, at 10 of clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by 'Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following emergency ordinances be introduced
and laid on the table for one week; To provide for an assistant City Attorney of .
not to exceed $100.00 per month for the year 1950. To provide for the sum of ; ,$5, 000.00
for the purpose of enabling the Planning Board of the City to employ persons for such
work for the year 1950. To provide the sum of $1,000.00 for maintenance and operation
for the Fire Dept. for the year 1949: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the ,City Engineer having reported the completion
of the Curb and Gutter project in L.I.D. No. 578 by the contractor, said work is
hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for
said district: carried Buck, Bishop and .Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids on
Radio Equipment for the Police and Fire Dept. The bid of Motorola, Inc in the sum
of $10,579.33 being the only bid received, award was made to that company: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for
venetian blinds for the new City 1 - -all, the bid of the 'Cascade Window Shade 'Co. in the
sum of $1,248.00 was awarded to that firm as the lowest and best bid: carried Buck,
Bishop and !Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn: carried Buck, Bishop and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
