The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 5, 19.49,: `were approved as, read. Moved by Clark, seconded 'by Bishop that the City Engineer having.reported the completion of the North Hilicrest:";_;Curb and Gutter District, L.I.D. No. 682, said work is hereby accepted and the !City Engineer, authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said dis- trict: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids on chlorine for•the Water Dept. for the year 1950, bids were received by the Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing Co. and Hooker Electrochemical 'Co. both of Tacoma and both bids the same; It is ordered that said bid be awarded to the Hooker Electrochemical Co: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by :Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment rolls in Local Improvement Districts No's, 651, 657, 659, 662 and 669, and there being insufficient objections-in writing or otherwise to said assessment rolls or any part thereof; -It is ordered that the ordinances confirming each and every district thereof, be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1074, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement Distric No. 651 as'created and established by Ordinance.No. B -898 of the Ordinances of the !City of Yakima. ORDINANCE .NO.. B- 10.7.5, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 657 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -991 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. ORDINANCE NO. B -1076, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No.•659 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -995 of the Ordinances of the .City of Yakima. C -882, WHEREAS, The City of Yakima is the owner of certain local improvement district bonds; and WHEREAS, offers have been received for the purchase of said bonds in the particulars set forth and it is for the best interest of the City of Yakima to accept the offers for said bonds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED . BY THE CITY COP,ZMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: ,Section 1. That the offer of the Liberty Savins & Loan Association for bonds No. 1 to 22, Local Improvement District No. 649, total par value of $10,555.463, and for bonds No. 1 to ,17, Local Improvement District No. 650, total par value of $8, 450.67, _at the price of $1,001.20 per. $1,000.00 par value, be and the same hereby is accepted. Section 2. That the offer of the ;Chamber of Commerce for bonds numbered 23 to 44, Local Improvement, District No. 649, total par value of $11,000.00, and for bonds numbered 18 to 25, Local Improvement District No. 650, total par value of $4,000.00, at the price of $1,001.20 per $1,000.00 par value, be and the same hereby is accepted. Section 3. That the offer of A.R. Carico for bonds numbered 26 to 34, Local Improvement District No. 650, total par value of $4,500.00, at the price of $1,001.20 per $1,000.00 par value, be and the same hereby is accepted. Section 4. That the offer of W.R. Huff for bonds numbered 22 to 27, Local Improvement District No. 646, total par value of $ 3,000.00,,at the price of $1,001.20 per 1,000.00 par value, be and the same hereby is accepted. Section 5. That the offer of David Wakin for.bonds numbered 10 to 18, Local Improvement District No. 626, total par value of $2,700.00, at the price of $1,001.20 per ;1,000.00 par value plus accrued interest, be and the same hereby is accepted. Section 6. That the proper officers of the City of Yakima are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to enter into any and all conveyances necessary to transfer the title to said bonds to the respective parties mentioned above,upon their payment to.the City of.Yaki•ma in full therefor in accordance with their respective offers. ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1949 The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Clark and Bishop present on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for receiving bids on carpeting for four rooms in the new City Hall, and the Simon Furniture Co. being the only bid presented, and it appearing that other merchants in the ,(City had not been notified, except by publication, of said call for bids, and further that the repre- sentation from Simons Furniture Co. agreed to withdraw his bid unopened until a later date; It was agreed that said bids be received on Monday, December 19, 1949, at 10 o"clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by 3ishop that we do now adjourn to meet Thursday, December 15, 1949 at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and 'Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 1949 The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Buck and Commissioners :Clark and Bishop present on roll call.
