The,-minutes of the regular meeting of Monday.. July 18, 1949, were approved as read. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for receiving bids for 11,000, of copper tubing for the Water Dept., the following were received: Western Utilities Supply Co . .$2479.10, Waterworks Supplies Co.-$2537.45, Consolidated Supply Co. $2550.00, Gilbert Brothers, Inc. $2568.48, Pacific Water Works Supply Co. $2579.74, E. N.. Hallgrez Co.. 2580.00, Yakima Hardware Co. $2611.21, H. D. Fowler Co.*, $2639.50, Peerless Pacific Co. $2644.10,f The bid of Western Utilities Supply !Co., in the sum of $2479.10, was accepted as the lowest and best bid: carried Buck and Clark voting aye bn roll call. Bishop absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being. the time for receiving bids on storm drains, the following were received: Gallagher & Brandt 10,774.80, G. G. Teskey $11,114.70., Goodfellow Bros. $14,281.48, Riggle & Creighton $14,355.80, State Construc- tion Co. $10,371.70, and Larry DeBlasio $10,005.90. The bid of Larry DeBlasio in the sum of- 10,005.90 was accepted as the lowest and best bid and the Mayor and City Clerk instructed to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call Bishop absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having filed the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 655 with the City Clerk, the City Clerk.is instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, August 15, 1949, at 10 o'clock A:M: carried Buck and {Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having. filed. the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 660 with the City Clerk, the City Clerk was instructed to give noti of hearing on said roll for Monday, August 15, 1949, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark, that an ordinance authorizing the purchase of equip- ment not budgeted in the sum of $1650.00 for a power mower for the Airport, be read and laid on the table for one week as provided by law: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call. Bishop absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -10299 creating a special fund in connection with a federal airport project to include the construction of an administration building on the site of the Yakima airport; and providing for the payment into said fund of all sums now or herein- after budgeted and appropriated for said project, and all sums received from the Depart- ment of Commerce, Civil Aeronautics Administration, as contribution toward the expense of said building`, and providing for the expenditure of all such sums. Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -1029 creating a special fund to be known as "Yakima Airport Administration-Building Fund" in connection with the con- struction of.an administration Building on the site of the Yakima Airport, be passed as read: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call..
