The minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, May 31, 1949, and adjourned meeting there. of were approved as read. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the petition presented by the Nob Hill Evangeli- cal United Brethern 'Church for annexation to the City of Yakima, be referred to the Planning Commission for their.perusal and recommendation: carried Buck, Bishop and ,Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the .time for the hearing on Resolutioi No. C -833, providing for-the vacation of that part of 5th Avenue South between Viola and Logan and it being deemed for the best interest of the.+City to continue said hearing for one week in order to secure the proper deed for street purposes: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for hearing on Resolution No. C -834 providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on Pleasant from Lenox to Viola, and there being insufficient objection to said improvement, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1017 creating a local improvement district be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N0: B -1017, providing for the improvement of certain property by the construc• tion of concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by !Clark, seconded by Buck that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -835 providing for the paving of alleys in L.I.D. No. 669, and there being no ob- jections in writing or otherwise,to said improvement, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1018 creating a Local Improvement District be passed as read :. carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- 10:18, providing for the improvement of the alleys extending from West Chestnut Street to Bell Street between Sixteenth Avenue South and Seventeenth Avenue South, and also extending from East "A" Street to East "B" Street between North Seventh Street and North Eighth Street, by paving the same with - asphaltic concrete, placed on a gravel base; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of pay- ment therefor, and creating a special fund. RESOLUTION NO. C-839, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN: -That it is its intention to construct a domestic,water system to serve all of the lots and tracts of land included within,the following described distric, situated in Yakima County, Washington: Beginning at a point 713.6 feet north.and 30 feet east of the southwest corner of Section 13, Town- ship 13 north, Range 18, E.W.M.,. thence northerly along the east line of 16th Avenue North a distance of 412.7 feet; thence east 147 feet; thence north 2.8 feet; thence east 166.9 feet to the center line of 15th Avenue North; thence southerly along said center line a distance of 7.8 feet; thence east 333.9 feet to the center line of 14th Avenue North; thence southerly along said center line a distance of 27 feet; thence east to the Right -of -Way of the Pacific Power and Light Company's Wasteway; thence southwesterly along the said Right -of -Way to a point east of the point of beginning; thence west to the point of beginning. Said improvement to consist of the installation of the.necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use, and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 27th day of June, 1949, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters relating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of- payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear- ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, in pub- lication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro- vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. C -840, BE IT RESOLVED'BY THE -CITY CO'MMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN: That it is its intention to improve the lots and tracts of land included tithin the following described district by constructing pipe sewers with the necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connections therefor, all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specification: to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and specially benefited by and assessed for the above described improvement is situate within the City of Yakima, Ya County, 'Washington, and is bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection of Twenty- second Avenue South and Bonnie Doone Avenue; thence west-along Bonnie D oone Avenue to Twenty -third Avenue South; thence north along Twenty -third A venue_South to a point 132 feet north of the Menjanker; thence east and parallel to the north line of the Menjanker Subdivision to Twenty-,second-Avenue South; thence south along Twenty- second Avenue South to place of beginning.
