Moved by Buck, seconded by (Clark that this being the time for the No.-C -827 providing for an irrigation system on South 12th Avenue and there being considerable opposition to said improvement by soi owners; It is ordered that said hearing be adjourned one week to opportunity to present a "petition of remonstrance: carried Buck, voting aye on roll call. hearing on Resolution and other ne of the property give objectors an Bishop and Clark Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the "time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -828 providing for the construction of a domestic water system on South 26th Avenue and other:_street.s and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to ,said improvement or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1008 creating a local improvement district for said improvement be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1008, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of a domestic water system, establishing a local im- provement district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. RESOLUTION NO. C -832, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN: That it is its intention to improve Fourteenth Avenue South in the City of Yakima between Lenox Avenue and Mead Avenue by grading, surfacing and con- structing concrete curbs and gutters along said Avenue, all of said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and .filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by -and assessed for the above described improvement is situate in Yakima !County, Washington and described as;--follows, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Fourteenth Avenue South, thence easterly to a point midway between Thirteenth Avenue South and Fourteenth Avenue South; thence southerly and parallel with Fourteenth Avenue South to Mead Avenue; thence westerly along Mead Avenue to a point midway between Fourteenth Avenue South and Fifteenth Avenue South; thence norther- ly and parallel with Fourteenth Avenue South to Lenox Avenue; thence easterly along Lenox Avenue to the point of beginning. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 O'clock A.M., on Tuesday, the 31st day of May, 1949`, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Lngineer is hereby directed to submit to the 'City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. C -833 between Viola Avenue and Logan ) Avenue. ) A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on Petition for Vacation of Street. WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of a street described as follows, to -wit: That part of Fifth Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, between Viola Avenue and Logan Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA : That said Petition shall be brought on for hearing; and determination on Monday, the 6th/day of June, 1949, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock in the forenoon on said day at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Ball in �II 1 1 71 May 9. 1949 Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as 'soon-.thereafter as the same may be heard; and, that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law.
