The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call,
The minutes of the regular meeting of,Monday, April 4, 1949, were approved as read:
carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION N0. .0 -824,- WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner .of the following U.S.
Savings Bonds, Series F, to -wit:
V 298370, par value $5,000.00;
X 268203 to X268215, inclusive, par value each
$10,000.00;
AND WHEREAS, said bonds produce a low rate of interest and the
funds of the City of Yakima represented thereby can be invested in Local Improvement
District warrants and /or bonds of the City of Yakima and thereby produce a better rate
of interest,_and it is considered to be for the best interests of the City to -sell said
Savings Bonds at the present market, value and to reinvest said funds in City of Yakima
Local Improvement District warrants and /or bonds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY 'COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the City Treasurer be and she hereby is author-
ized, empowered and directed to sell the following U.-S. Savings Bonds, Series F, now
owned by the City of Yakima, to -wit:
V 298370, par value 5,000.00;
X 268203 to X268215, inclusive, par value each
$10,000.00;
at the present market value and to reinvest the funds derived from the sale of said
Bonds in Local Improvement District warrants and /or bonds of the City of Yakima as such
securities become available-to the limit of the funds derived from the sale of said
Bonds,

RESOLUTION NO. C -825, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ,CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system
to serve all of the Pots and tracts of land included within the following described
district situated in Yakima County, Washington:
The boundaries of the proposed district are as follows:
Beginning-at th.e intersection of Arlington Avenue
and 27th Avenue South; thence south along 27th Avenue
South to the south line of Lot 19, Shaver.Addition;
thence easterly along said south line to the Southeast
corner of said Lot 19; thence southerly and parallel
with the east line of 27th Avenue South to.the south
line of Shaver Addition;- thence westerly along the
said south line to a point 153.25 feet east of the
east line of 28th Avenue.South; thence south 145 feet;
thence west to a point 120.5 feet west of the west line
of 28th Avenue South; thence northerly and parallel with
said west line to Bonnie Doone Avenue; thence easterly
along Bonnie Doone Avenue'to a point 126 feet west of the
west line of 27th Avenue South; thence northerly and
parallel with 27th Avenue South to Arlington Avenue;
thence easterly along Arlington.Avenue to the point of
beginning.
Said improvement to consist of the installation of the - necessary
mains,_.fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying
water for domestic; use, and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with..the 'City Clerk.
All persons who may desire.to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present.such objection, if any, at a meeting of the.
City Commission, to beheld at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 o1clock A.M., on Monday, the 2nd day of
May, 1949, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters re-
lating to the said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining
the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give clue
notice of -said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection,
publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro -
vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub-
mit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all
of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.

RESOLUTION NO. C-326.4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO?`,;�MISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN:
That it is its intention to improve the:east'side of North Ninth
Street from a point 150 feet north of East Yakima Avenue to East "A" Street by construct
ing a portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width, according to plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the city Clerk. The
district to -be served and especially benefitted by and assessed for the above described
improvement is situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and described
as follows, 'to-wit::
Lots 9 to 13 inclusive of Block 190, Huson's
Addition to Yakima.
'All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at'a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
:County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 2nd day of May, 1949,
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment
for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said
hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.

RESOLUTION NO. C-827.9 BE IT RESOLVI+ BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE-CITY OF YAKIMA, WN:
That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to
serve the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County,
Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of Twelfth Avenue South
and Mead Avenue; thence northerly along Twelfth Avenue
South to Lenox Avenue; thence easterly along Lenox
Avenue to the west line of Blackburn's Half Acre
Tracts; thence northerly along said west line to
Stewart Street;-thence easterly along Stewart Street
to Broadway; thence southerly along Broadway to Lenox
Avenue; thence easterly along Lenox Avenue to the
northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2, Terminal Addition;
thence southerly and easterly along the east line of
said Addition to Prasch Avenue;-thence southerly along
Voelker Avenue and Voelker Avenue extended to Mead
Avenue; thence westerly along Mead Avenue to Fifth
Avenue South; thence southerly along Fifth Avenue South
to King.Street; thence westerly along King Street to
Sixth Avenue South; thence northerly along Sixth Avenue
South-to Mead Avenue; thence westerly along Mead Avenue
to point of beginning.
Said improvement to consist of the installation of necessary
mains, laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of deliver -
ing'water for irrigation purposes to each lot.within the proposed district described
above and to be constructed in full accordance with the -plans and specifications to be
prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the .City Clerk.`
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held `at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
