The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 21, 1949, were approved as read. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the payrolls for the month of February, 1949, are hereby approved and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants in- payment thereof: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Resolution No. C -818 be adopted as read: RESOLUTION NO. C -818, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WN: That it is its intention to construct an irrigation system to serve the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Lots 1 to Lots 1 to Lots 1 to Lots 1 to Lots 1 to Southeast Southwest Range 18, 17 inclusive of Sickenga Addition; 7 inclusive of Burrows Suburban Tracts; 10, Block 1, of Seegert's Subdivision; 20, Block 2 of Seegert's Subdivision; 22, Neilan's Memorial Heights, and the quarter of the Southwest quarter of the quarter of Section 23, Township 18 North, E.W.M. Said improvement to consist of the installation of necessary mains, laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation purposes to each lot within the proposed district described above and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington., at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 21st day of March, 1949, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay- ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of ac- quiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the-property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Comm- ission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing,,all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. B -980, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 645 as created. and established by Ordinance No. B -865 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. 645, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -980 con- firming said assessment roll be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -981, confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 654 as created. and established by Ordinance No. B -918 of the Ordinance's of the City of Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 654, and there being no objections in writing or the to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -981 confirming said assessment roll be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll. call. ORDINANCE NO. C -962, relating to and regulating the operation of the Water Department of the City of Yakima; providing for regulating and fixing the use and price of-connec- tions therewith for certain property described herein, and declaring an emergency. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -982 relating to and regulating the operation of the Water Dept. be passed as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll. call.
