The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, January 31, 1949, were approved as read. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the improvement of constructing curbs and gutters provided for by Resolution No. C -808, heretofore passed by the City Commission, the original hearing being held on December 6th and subsequent hearings thereof on January 17th and 31st respectively, and after receiving written and oral protests by property owners in said district and upon the recommendation of the City Engineer that said improvement be abandoned; It is ordered that said improvement and every part thereof be cancell.ed.and abandoneds carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent, Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the postponed hearing on Resolution No. C -806 providing for curbs and gutters on 29th Avenue South and other.streets in said district, and upon the recommendation of the City Engineer in his report of existing complications of the improvement at this time; It is hereby ordered that said work be abandoned: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on Resblu- tion No. C -812, providing for the paving of the S2 of the SW-1 of .NVA Sec 25-13-18 E.W.M; upon the request of School District No'. 7, said work is hereby postponed indefinitelys carried Buck, and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having filed the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 645, with the 'City Treasurer, the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give by publication notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, February 28, 1949, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck, that the (City Engineer having filed the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 654 with the City Treasurer, the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give notice of hearing by publication for Monday, February 28, 1949 at 10 o'clock A.M: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -8131 WHEREAS, by Ordinance, it is provided that on the first Monday in February of each year, the City Commission of the City of Yakima, VIVashington, shall pass a resolution prescribing the form of contract for the city advertising for- the ensuing year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C0�4MISSION that the form of contract for the city advertising for the ensuing year shall be in substantial) the form hereto attached and made a part hereof, and the city clerk is hereby directed to give notice for sealed proposals for a contract for doing the city advertising for the ensuing year by publishing the same in the newspaper doing the city printing and advertising for two consecutive issues, which notice shall contain a general statement of the terms of�the contract to be let, together with the time and place when said bids will be opened, and providing that any and all bids may be rejected. B -917, repealing-Ordinance No.A -415 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating pool' billiard and card rooms and soft drink parlors, providing penaltie, for the violation thereof and declaring an emergency." Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -977 be passed as read: carried Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call. Clark absent.
