The City Commission met in regular session,. Mayor Buck and Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call•.
The minutes-of the regular meeting of Monday, January 17, 1949, were approved as read.
Moved by .Bishop seconded by .Clark that the (City Attorney is hereby authorized.and in-
structed to proceed with the necessary steps to prevent the-Nob Hill Water Dept. from
allowing its leaky mains to damage city st-reets on Grandview Avenue and other streets
in the City of Yakima; carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved.;,by Bishop, seconded by Buck that-the hearing on the matter of rezoning part of
Lot 1, Hunsingerts Addition and other property in said vicinity from "A" Class residence
zone to a limited business zone, was had and after considerable discussion on the part
of property ovaners and their representatives, the matter was taken under advisement:
carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye-on -roll call.
Moved by Clark, se- conded by Buck that the plans and contract for the new city hall be
made to conform to the city code and that the alternate bids for standpipes and auto-
matic sprinkler system be restored to the contract so far as necessary to comply with
the code: carried Clark and Buck voting aye.on roll call. Bishop voting no.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 625 and there being insufficient protest to said assess-
ment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -969 confirming said
assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried Buck,- Bishop and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -969, confirming the assessment roll, covering Local Improvement Dis-
trict No. 625, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -782 of the Ordinances of
the City of Yakima.
ORDINANCE NO. B -970, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost in the improvement in Local Improvement District No.
636, and providing for the - issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of
the unpaid portion.thereof.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -970 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -971, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost in the improvement in Local Improvement District No.
643, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of
the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by (Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -971 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -9729 fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No.
647, and providing for the method of payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -972 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -973, fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments
levied for the payment of the cost in the improvement in Local Improvement District No.
652, and.providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of
the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -973 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -974," rezoning Lots 19 and 20, Block 2 and Lots 1 and 2, Block 3 in
Modern Addition to the City of Yakima.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -974 be passed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop-and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do now adjourn: carried Buck, Bishop and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
