L DECEMBER 29,. 1958 The City Commission.met in regular session, Mayor Alderson and Commissioner Mathews and City Attorney Arntson, present on roll call. Schutt absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, the 22nd day of December, 1958, were appro.ved'as read. A petition having been duly filed by Dave F. Reynolds and wife, praying for the vacation of certain dedicated public utility easements described as part of Lot 1, Glenview and part of Lot ll.of Rice- Dibbert Addition and a hearing having been held on Wednesday, the 22nd day of December, 1958 at which time the passage of the ordinance providing for said vacation was "postponed, to be reconsidered on this date and the City Engineer now recommending that only the easement of Lot 1, Glenview should be vacated, it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that Ordinance No. B -2236 be- passed as' corrected.by the recommendation of the City Engineer: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -2236, AN. ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a certain dedicated public utility easement across the following described property situated in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: That part•of Lot 1, Glenview, according to the official plat thereof recorded in Volume "Q" of Plats, "page 28, records of Yakima County, Washington,,described'as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence North along the East line thereof a distance of 77 feet 4 inche's; thence Southwesterly 53 feet, more or less, to a point in a Westerly line of said Lot 1, 74 feet Northwesterly and measured along the,Westerly line from the Southwest corner of said Lot 1; thence Southeasterly along said Westerly lime �4 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 1; thence East 6 feet to the point of beginning. Rudolph Huebner, an employee of the Water Department, making application for retirement and said employee being past retirement age, or 65 years, and the Statewide City Employees Retirement System advisi ng that at least thirty d eY s notice should be given the board of trustees prior to the retirement of a member, thus making this retirement effective February 1., 19599 it was MOVED by Mathews, seconded 'by Alderson that the Retirement System be notified of Mr. Huebnerts wish to,retire and that he be allowed to work during the month of January, if he so desires: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent. (Mr. Huebner was contacted by the City Clerk and desires to terminate his employment with the City of Yakima as of December. 31, 1958.) Moved by Alderson, seconded by Mathews that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized to call for bids for the re- roofing of the City Hall upon instructions from the City Engineer, who requested that time be given him to check on materials etc., for this project: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Moved by Mathews, seconded by Alderson that Resolution No. C =1643 providing for the transfer of 1,000.00 within the Maintenance and Operation classification of the Water - Sewer 1958 Budget, be passed.as read: carried, Alderson and Mathews voting aye on roll call. Schutt absent. RESOLUTION No. C- 1643, A RESOLUTION providing for the transfer of funds within the 1958 appropriation of the Water -Sewer Fund, City of Yakima Water Department. WHEREAS, a surplus exists in the Industrial Insurance & Medical Aid Account of the Mi:ntenance and Operation classification of the Water -Sewer appropria- tion in the 1958 budget, and the funds in the heat, phone, lights, power accounts of the Maintenance and Operation classification of the Water -Sewer appropriation in the 1958 budget are insufficient, arid, WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it in the best interests of the City to make the transfer provided herein and the action contemplated is authorized by R.C.W. 35.33.120, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the sum of $1,000.00-be and the same hereby is transferred from the Industrial Insurance & Medical Aid Account of the Water -Sewer appropriation.in the 1958 budget to the heat, phone, light, power accounts of the Water - Sewer appropriation in the 1958 budget; all of said accounts being within the Maintenance and Operation classification in said appropriation, Section. 2. That City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make the aforementioned transfer herein provided for. day of December, 1958. ATTEST: J. A.
