The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, November 21, 1955, and adjourned meetings thereof, were approved as read: Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll covering L.I:D. No. 808, providing for the constructing of curbs and gutters on Glacier Way and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment CD roll, or any part thereof; it was ordered that Ordinance No. B -1785, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Huza -land Huey votin aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1785, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 808 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1692 of the Ordinances of the Ci',y of City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1786 fixing the working hours of outside City Employees and establishing a forty -hour work week, etc., be passed as read: carri.ed, Buza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burris absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -17869 AN ORDINANCE fixing the working hours of.,and establishing a forty -hour work week for all outside city employees and supervisory personnel working it connection with them, exclusive of police department, fire department, and city hall employees and certain water, sewerage and sanitation department employees. Moved by Huey., seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1310, fixing the rate of irrigatic maintenance charges, be adopted as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll cal] Burns absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -1310, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That from and. after January 1, 1956, the irrigation maintenance rates and charges to be charged by the Irrigation Department of said city _shall be as follows: Gravity system, x'.00075 per square foot of land; Pump system, .00105 per square foot of land; Lenox Pump system, .00095 Per square foot of land. HUZA City Clerk Mayor 7 Protem Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1311 relative to easement for sewer purposes, be adopted as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -1311, WHEREAS, the City of Yakima holds an easement for sewer purpose; upon a ten foot strip of land hereinafter mentioned, and the West 5 feet of said ten foot strip is deemed adequate for said city sewer purposes and the owner of said lot desires to construct a building which will encroach upon the East five feet of said strip and the same is not needed by the city for sewer purposes; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of said city are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver to United Builders of Washington, Inc., a corporation, a quit claim deed cancelling said sewer easement as to the East five foot of said ten foot strip, the same being situated in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit: ATTEST: PEARL BENJAMIN City Clerk The East 5 feet of the West 10 feet of the East half of Lot 35 of Johnson's Orchard Home Tracts, according to the official plat thereof, now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington. Hereafter the price for cemetery lots shall be $60.00 per lot in Sections A, B, F, G, H, and L, except that part of Section L which has been set aside by tl-e County of Yakima for county burials; $70.00 per lot in Section C; X7.00 per lot in Section D and E; and $50.00 per lot in Sections I, J, K, City, I.O.O.F., and Masonic sections. Except as herein expressly modified, all former rates, charges, rules and regulations applicable to said Tahoma Cemetery shall remain in full force and effect. HUE Commissioner of Public Works Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the bid of Friden Automatic Calculators, in the sum of $800.83 be accepted as the best bid for a calculator for the Irrigation Department: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the application of Robert Saxton for off - street parking of Lots 2, 13, 11.E and 15, Block 257, Lunds Addition; also part-of Lot 16 in said addition and Lot 15, be referred to the Planning Commission for consideration: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the petition for annexation of property south of Terrace Heights Way and the east portion of Fair Avenue be accepted, and the matter re- ferred to the City Attorney for preparation of the necessary proceedings; hearing on said petition to be on Monday, December 12, 1955 at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the 16th Avenue North Curb and Gutter district in L.I.D. No. 814, by the contractor, said work is hereby accepted, and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, the 19th day of December, 1955, at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
