The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, November 14, 1955, and adjourned meeting thereof, were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on the petition for the annexation to the City of Yakima of property bounded on the North by Mead Avenue; on the East by 3rd Avenue South; -on the South by Pierce Street and on the West by Cornell,'Avenue; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that the City Engineer report the percentage of persons in favor of said annexation, at a later date: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call This being the time for receiving bids for codifying the ordinances of the City of Yakirm it was MOVED by Huza,,seconded by Burns that said bids be tabulated and a report made at a 'later date: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment 'roll covering L.I.D. No. 7$$, pro- viding for the construction of 33rd Avenue domestic water system, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -17$2, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passes as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -17$2, , AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 7$$ as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1597 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1783 providing for the improvement of certain property on'the east side of 26 Avenue South beginning at a point 100 feet south of the south line of Tieton Drive and extending south 260 feet, by grading ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters and. creating L.I.D. No. 829, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -17$31 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating 'a special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No.. C -1307 approving plans and specifi- cations prepared and submitted by Stevens and Thompson for the construction of a sewage lift station and air compressor station, and instructing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the construction thereof and fixing Monday, December 19, 1955 at 10 o'clock a.m as the date for receiving said bids, be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1307, BE IT RESOLVED BY TiE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: 1. That the City Commission hereby accepts and approves the plans and specifications prepared and submitted by Stevens and Thompson of Portland, Oregon, for the construction of a sewage lift station and air compressor station complete with all equipment, auxiliaries and pipe lines. 2. That the City of Yakima shall forthwith call for competi- tive bids for furnishing labor, materials and equipment and constructing the said sewage lift station an`d ar compressor station complete with all equipment, auxiliaries and pipe lines in accordance with said plans and specifics:;. and that notice of said call for bids shall be published three times weekly in the Yakima Daily Republic and shall be published twice in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce; and the said bids shall be opened at the office of said City Commission on Monday, the 19th day of December, 1955, at 10 o'clock a.m.; and the 6ity reserves the right to reject any and all bids; and each bid shall be accompanied by cash, certifired check, or bid bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid, the `'ity reserving the right at its option to waive any inform- alities in connection therewith. 3. That said project shall be paid for out of the proceeds of a revenue bond issue to be issued by the said City pursuant to an ordinance therefor to be later passed. BURNS City Clerk (S E A L) Mayor Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -130$, granting to the city of Yakima certain options to purchase land and easements for the waterdepartment purposes, etc., be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -130$, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That those certain option agreements granting to the City of Yakima an option to purchase certain land and certain easements for water department purposes are hereby approved, and the city treasurer is hereby authorize and directed to pay. to Homer F. Lee the sum of $100.00, and to Squire- Ingham Company the sum of $250.00, they being the respective grantors under said option agreements, as the consid- eration for the execution and delivery of said option agreements respectively, a copy of .each of said option agreements being attached hereto. BURNS Mayor Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1309 authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement on behalf of the City of Yakima, with Wilbur D. Dubuc with reference to salvage materials from the City Dump, from November 1955, to November 1956, be adopted as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. 33 J X34 J RESOLUTION NO. C -1309, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That all agreements heretofore made with reference to salvaging materials from the city dump are hereby cancelled and terminated; and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute agreement with Wilbur D. Dubuc with reference thereto for a period commencing November 21, 1955, for a term of one year, copy of said agreement being attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein. BURNS, Mayor The City Engineer having reported the completion of the construction of the curb and gutter district on Prasch Avenue from 8th Avenue South to 9th Avenue South in L.I.D. No.' $11, by the Contractor; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that said work be accept- ed and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for Monday, December 19, 1955 at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. The City Engineer having reported the completion of the Richey Road Curb and gutter district, L.I.D. No. 816, by the contractor, it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that said work be accepted, and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll fold said district, and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, the 19th day of December, 1955, at 10 o'clock a-.m.: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. The City Engineer having reported the completion of the Chestnut Park Sewer district, L.I.D. No. 8201 by the contractor; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that said work be accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk authorized to .give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for Monday, December 19, 1955, at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that we do now adjourn until 2 o'clock p.m.: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the Planning Commission having recommended the following changes in zoning; Lot 5, Lenox Avenue Addition, located at 1107 Cornell from "B" residence to Business District and from Area District #2 to Area District No. 4; Lots 1 and 2, Block 88, City of Yakima from "B" Residence to Limited Business District and from Area District No. 2'to Area District No. 4 and the property on the south side of Lenox Avenue from 17th Avenue South to 19th Avenue South and extending southerly for a distance of 160 feet be changed from "B" Residence District to Limited Business District and from Area District No. 2 to Area District No. 4; said hearing to be had on Monday, the 12th day of December, 1955, at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call Huza absent.
