OCTOBER 17, 1955
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioner Huey present on
roll call. Commissioner Huza absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, October 10, 1955, were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving bids for a chassis and cab model for the City Fire
Department; the following were received:
Ross Lynch Company $6,493.18
International Harvester Company 6,341.68
Northwest Truck Sales, Inc. 5,478.91
Northwest Truck Sales, Inc. .7,317.91
it was MOVED by Burns, seconded by Huey that said bids be turned over to the Fire Chief
for tabulation and consideration: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Hu
absent.
This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1292, providing for the constru
tion of a sewer on Lots 1 to 7, Heyduck Park No. 2, and there being no objections in
writing, or otherwise, to said improvement, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey,
seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1757 creating L.I.D. No. 827, be passed as read:
carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1757, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by
constructing.a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches and manholes; establishing a.
Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment thereof, and creating a
special fund.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1758 fixing the time of delinquenc:
of assessments and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No._785, be passed as read:
carried, Burns.and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1758, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 785, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1759 fixing the time of delinquency
of assessments and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 792, be passed as read:

ORDINANCE NO. B -17591 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District .No. 792, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.

District No. 802, and providing for the issuance of bonds, with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1763 fixing the time of delinquencz
of assessments and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 805, be passed as read:

ORDINANCE NO. B- 17.63, AN-ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 805, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Engineer having reported the completion ol
the 21st Avenue South domestic water system, L.I.D. No. 804;.said work is hereby acceptei
and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the
City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, Novemeber 7,
1955, at the hour of 10 o1clock a.m.: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Huza absent.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice
to contractors for the construction of a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches and
manholes on Lots 1 to 7, Heyduck Park No. 2, in L.I.D. No. 827; said bids to be received
on Monday, October 31, 1955, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. :. carried,.Burns and Huey
voting aye on roll call. Huza absent.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1764 amending paragraph (a) of
Section 156 of the Traffic Code, being Ordinance No. B -1526, relative to parades on the
city streets of Yakima, be passed as read: carried, Burns and Huza voting aye on roll
call. Huey reluctantly voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1764, AN ORDINANCE relating to parades on the public streets and amend-
ing paragraph (a) of Section 156 of Traffic Code Ordinance No. B -1526, entitled "AN ORDI-
NANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel and transportation and their incidents
upon the streets and other ways open to the public; prescribing the powers and duties of
officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing penalties, and re-
pealing Ordinance No. B -131 and all amendments thereof and all other ordinances in so fai
as they are in conflict therewith, and declaring an emergency', and declaring an emerg-
ency.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the Chief of the Fire Department having reported
the tabulation of the bids recevied on Monday for the purchase of a chassis and cab for
said department, the bid of the Northwest Truck Sales, Inc. in the sum of $7,317.91,
plus options amounting to the sum of $157.50, or a total of $7,475.41, was accepted as
the best bid for said equipment: carried, Burns,,Huza.and'Huey._voting aye"on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey that we do now adjourn: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
