The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, September 12, 1955, and adjourned meeting thereof, were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -12$0, providing for the construc tion of curbs and gutters on Lots 1 to 19 inclusive of Glenview Addition, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1745, creating L.I.D. No. 8; be passed as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1745, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing • local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating • special fund. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1279, providing for the construc- tion of an irrigation system on Lots 1 to 19, inclusive of Glenview Addition, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1746, creating L.I.D. No. 822 be passed as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1746, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima Washington, by constructing an irrigation system to serve various lots tracts of land; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1278, providing for the con= struction of a sewer district on Swan,Avenue and there being insufficient protest agar said improvement or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1747 creating L.I.D. No. 823, be passed as read: Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1747, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property t constructing pipe sewers with the necessary wye branches, manholes and flush tank; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment thereof, and creating a special fund. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll covering L.I.D. No. 803 pro- viding for the Douglas Drive Domestic Water district and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise, to said assessment roll, or any part':thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -174$, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -174$, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. $03 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1678 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. This being the time for receiving bids for the co nstructinn of the Chestnut Park sewer project, the following were received: N. L. Kimball Carroll & Sanislo Paul R. Henley 1 1,790.30 ?1,714.75 1,660.75 Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the bid of Paul R. Henley in the sum of $1,660.75 be accepted as the lowest and best bid and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima, for doing said work: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burn RESOLUTION NO. C -12911 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF.YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve13lst Avenue South from Tieton Drive to a point approximately 637 feet North thereof, by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters, together with the necessary drainage features. The district to be served by and assessed for the above describ ed improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows: Lots 13 to 22 inclusive, of Neilan's Memorial Heights; also, the East 142.5 feet of the West 305 feet of the Southwest quarter of Section 23 Townshi 13 North, Range 18, E. W. M., otherwise known as a portion of Lots 1 to 10 inclusive, of Block 1 of Seegert's Subdivision, Unrecorded. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Monday, the 10th day of October, 1955; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re- lating to said proposed improvements or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and assessed against f 0 all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commis- sion at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted; all of said improvements to be con - in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer, and filed with the City Clerk. 1955.
