Ordinance adding new Chapter 15.19 YMC pertaining to
telecommunication towers and facilities.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
City staff has been working on a proposed ordinance amending Title 15 YMC to add new
Chapter 15.29 YMC. The new chapter consists of a comprehensive regulation of
telecommunication towers and facilities within the City of Yakima. The matter is set for public
hearing before the Planning Commission on August 7, 2013, and will be ready for City Council
consideration and action on August 20, 2013.
This "set date" action can be accomplished by motion of the City Council.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a motion setting August 20, 2013 as the date for
public hearing before the City Council to consider new Chapter 15.29 YMC.
