Communications Comm ission in the VnitedStates ofAmerica; and
M&REAS, Kl-q lA -7v was the first VjfT or V ftra .Ifigh Trequency tefevision
station Czcensed in the State of Washington; and
M&REAS, after receiving the buifding permit on December 4, 1952, the
company then known as Cascade broadcasting broke ground two days Cater, on
December 6, 1952 for the transmitter site atopAhtanum Ridge; and
M&RMS, UqM first broadcast a test pattern on June 30, 1953; and
M&REAS, at 7.• 00 p. m. on Sunday, Jufy 19, 1953, Kl-q lA -7v became the
first teCevision station in Centraf Washington State to broadcast in the pubCu interest,
Ace, CocaCCy produced teCevision programming for the peopfe of this community.
