AN ORDINANCE Consideration of ordinance relating to parking and rules of the road; amending
Yakima Municipal Code Section 9.50.290 entitled "One -Way Streets and
Alley's."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
SECTION 1. Section 9.50.290 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
9.50.290 One -way streets and alleys.
Upon those streets and parts of streets and in those alleys herein described, vehicular traffic shall
move only in the indicated direction when signs indicating the direction of traffic are erected and
maintained at every intersection where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited. No such

(5) Terrace Street from South 14th Avenue to South 12th Avenue
(6) Frontage Road from 9th Street to 10th Street

In order to conduct downtown events in 2013, the current restrictions for one -way traffic on the
east -west alley between 3rd and 4th Street, in the vicinity of the Capital Theater should be
removed in order to provide access. For various events portions of either 3rd Street or 4th Street
may be closed and it is necessary to allow traffic. in either direction.
