These parts are not only unusable as the 90 pound rail does not fite the City Trolley System, the parts take of valuable Car -barn space that YVT could otherwise use. As scrap rails bring $350 /ton in large quantities delivered to a smelter, and is unwanted in small quantities, the intrinsic value of these switch parts is negligible. This being the case, we request these parts be declared as surplus and that they be donated to the Inland NW Rail Museum (Museum) in Spokane, a non - profit agency. The donation is suggested as the Museum has assisted the Trolley volunteers many times in the past and the Museum would be glad to come to Yakima to get these parts at their expense for use on the Museum rail system. - Resolution X Ordinance Other (specify) Contract: Mail to: • Contract Term: Amount: Expiration Date: Insurance Required?
