Present: Council: Mayor Micah Cawley, presiding, Assistant Mayor Maureen Adkison, Council
Members Sara Bristol, Kathy Coffey, Rick Ensey and Bill Lover
Staff: City Attorney Cutter and City Clerk Claar Tee
Absent: Council Member Dave Ettl (excused)
2. Review City Manager Employment Agreement
Council discussed the proposed contract with City Manager candidate Tony O'Rourke.
Moved by Bristol and seconded by Ensey to change item 13C to read: in the event the form of
government changes to a Strong Mayor Form of Government, the severance pay would be 6
months (instead of 9 months) and should the City Manager be hired back as the City
Administrator by the Strong Mayor, there would be no severance payment.
Motion: Approve, Moved by Council Member Sara Bristol, Seconded by Council Member Rick
Ensey Carried 4 -2. Council Members voting Aye: Adkison , Bristol , Cawley, Ensey. Council
Members voting Nay: Coffey, Lover. Council Members Absent: Ettl .
Moved by Coffey and seconded by Adkison to approve the contract with the amended changes
Motion: Approve, Moved by Council Member Kathy Coffey, Seconded by Assistant Mayor
Maureen Adkison Approved 5 -1 Council Members voting Aye: Adkison , Bristol , Cawley ,
Coffey , Ensey. Council Members voting Nay: Lover. Council Members Absent: Ettl .
3. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 11:47 a.m to the next Council Business meeting on May 15, 2012 at
6 p m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
Motion: Adjourn, Moved by Council Member Sara Bristol, Seconded by Council Member Rick
Ensey. Carried 6 -0. Council Members voting Aye. Adkison , Bristol, Cawley, Coffey, Ensey,
Lover. Council Members Absent: Ettl .
