The ventilation improvements increase air exchange in the wet well to reduce equipment corrosion and the air scrubbing system treats the exchanged air to reduce lift station odor. The City previously entered into an agreement with RH2 Engineering, Inc. under City Contract No. 2020-036 to provide engineering design, bidding, and construction services for the UV Slide Gate Replacement. The City utilized the procedure established by the State of Washington for competitively bidding projects. POW Contracting, Inc. submitted the low bid of $208,802.
