OPEN DISCUSSION FOR THE GOOD'OF THE ORDER - ' Mayor Berndt explained that the - reason the City was not included in the recent federal grant to the Lower Valley Drug Task Force was . because the City already has a Task Force in;place that is funded through a different process. 4. - CONSENT AGENDA - . Mayor Berndt referred to the items placed on the Consent Agenda, . questioning whether there were any additions or deletions from either Council members or citizens present. Council member Barnett requested that Item No. 10 -B be removed from the Consent Agenda. - • Council member Buchanan requested that Item No. 8 be added to the ., ,Consent Agenda:1 "'It`:wa"s the, general consensus.'of ^the Council that the - deletion of Item No- 10 -Brand the'addition of Item No. 8, as requested, be made. The annexation proposed by Ace Hardware Corporation was accepted by the City of Yakima and the area. to be• annexed was required to assume its share of the City's existing indebtedness, and a Notice of Intention to Annex was required to be filed with the Yakima County Boundary Review Board. *9. Jerry Copeland', Director of Public Works, was unable to provide specific information, but stated that the vehicles were difficult to maintain, and some replacement parts were impossible to locate.
