Internal Comparisons: Currently, there are four classifications at the proposed range and only one is a fairly close match. The proposed classification will perform similar duties to the Senior Buyer at Pay Code 976. External Comparisons: A salary survey was taken, including Washington Cities of: Everett, Redmond, Longview, Bellingham, Lacey, Mt. Vernon, and Salem, OR. The average of comparables was $4,372 - $5,495. RECOMMENDATIONS: Based on the foregoing, it is recommended: • A new classification be created and titled, Lead Police Support Services Supervisor at pay code 976 ($4,631.38 - $5,638.42). • • The position should be filled by competitive announcement within the Civil Service Rules and Regulations because this is a new classification and not a reclassification. - • , .
