AN ORDINANCE affirming the Hearing Examiner's recommendation
granting a master application and rezone of pro-
perty in the vicinity of 50th Avenue and West
Chestnut Avenue, and amending the zoning map of
the City of Yakima.
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1980 and January 21, 1987, the
Hearing Examiner held a hearing on a master application and
rezone request initiated by Timothy Monahan, for the rezone of
property in the vicinity of 50th Avenue and West Chestnut
Avenue, Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is
set out hereinbelow, from R-2, Two-Family Residential Dis-
trict to B-1, Professional Business District and for various
Class 2 and Class 3 uses and an adjustment of yard setback,
and
WHEREAS, as a result of that hearing, the Hearing Exami-
ner recommended to the City Council that the rezone and re-
mainder of the master application be granted with conditions,
and
WHEREAS, at its public meeting on February 17, 1987, the
City Council determined that the decision of the Hearing Exa-
miner should be affirmed, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The decision of the Hearing Examiner, recom-
mending the rezone of property in the vicinity of 50th Avenue
and West Chestnut Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington,

REZONE: The east 5.90 feet of Lot of Short Plat 84-
202, EXCEPT the east 5.90 feet of the north 300.00 feet,
as measured along and parallel with the north and east
lines, of Lot 2 of Short Plat 84-203 EXCEPT the east
5.90 feet of the south 67.26 feet, as measured along and
parallel with the south and east lines, of Lot 2 of Short
Plat 84-202, AND Lot 3 of Short Plat 84-202 EXCEPT the
north 300.00 feet, as measured along the east line and
parallel with the north line, thereof, EXCEPT the south
��� 67.16 feet, as measured along the east line and parallel
with the south line, thereof, all records of Yakima
County, Washington.

from R-2, Two-Famify Residential District to B-1, Professional
Business District, is hereby affirmed; and that property is
hereby rezoned to B-1, Professional Business District.
Section 2. The City of Yakima zoning map is hereby

amended to correspond to the rezone ordained by Section 1 of
this ordinance.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and di-
rected to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy
ofthis ordinance.
Section 4. The remainder of the decision of the Hearing
Examiner approving the master application, a copy of which
decision is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby
affirmed together with its conditions.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
day of March, 1987.
