HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-3053 REZONE PROPERTY IN VICINITY OF 2308-2318 SOUTH 1ST STREET ���� N� �� ORDINANCE 0O. ���� ���� AN ORDINANCE affirming the Hearing Examiner's recommendation to rezone property in the vicinity of 3308-3318 South lot Street, and amending the zoning map of the City of Yakima. WHEREAS, on August 5, 1987, the Hearing Examiner a -- hearing on a rezone request initiated by Trillium Corporation and George M. Sears for the rezone of property in the vicinity of 3308-2318 South 1st Street, Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, from M-1, Light Industrial District, to CBDS, Central Business District Support, and WHEREAS, as a result of that hearing, the Hearing Examiner recommended to the City Council that the rezone be granted, and WHEREAS, at its public meeting on September 15, 1987, the City Council voted to affirm the decision of the Hearing Examiner, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The decision of the Hearing Examiner, recom- mending the rezone of property in the vicinity of 2308-2318 South 1st Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is as follows: Lot 1 and 9, Forney Subdivision, as recorded in Volume I of Plats, Page 33, records of the Yakima County Auditor AND That portion of Lot 8, Forney Subdivision, as recorded in Volume I of Plats, Page 23, records of the Yakima County Auditor, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 3 of said Forney Subdivision; thence South 0 02` West along the Southerly extension of the East line of said Lot 3 a distance of 162,52 feet; thence South 32 34' East 430.58 feet; thence South 46 17`20" West 15.03 feet; thence South 58 08'40" West 217.84 feet; thence North 84 I9`30" West 297.01 feet to the West line of said Lot 8; thence North 0 19` East along the West line of said Lot 8 a distance of 624.56 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 1 of said Forney Subdivision; thence South 89 20' East along the South line of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of said subdivision 256.53 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 3 and the Point of Beginning. Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Short Plat recorded in Book 87 of Short Plats, page 27, record of Yakima County, Washington. rezone.ord/G5 1 from M-1, Light Industrial District, to CBDS, Central Business District Support, is hereby affirmed; and that property is hereby rezoned to CBDS, Central Business District Support. Section 2. The City of Yakima zoning map is hereby amended to correspond to the rezone ordained by Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this day of September, 1987. ay.
