AN ORDINANCE amending the 1988 budget for the City of Yakima: and ' �
making an appropriation in the 551-Equ(pment Rental Fund
for expenditure during 1988.
WHEREAS, '- the 551-Equipment Rental Fund contains an unappropriated
- fund balance available for appropriation as provided by this ordinance, '
and
WHEREAS, the anount of $240,800 must be appropriated within the
551-Eouipaent Rental Fund in order to provide funding for the purchase
of two side loading refuse trucks, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1988 budget it could
not reasonably have been foreseen that the appropriation provided for by
this ordinance would be required; and the City Council finds that an
emergency exists of the type contemplated by RCV 35.33.091 and that it
is in the best interests of the City to make the appropriation herein
provided, now, therefore,

Section 1. The anmunt of $24O,00O is hereby appropriated from the
Unappropriated Fund Balance in the 551-Emuipnent Rental Fund to account
number 551,552.636,ERO6.594,48.644 as a 1988 appropriation.
Section Z. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall
take effect inmnediate|y upon its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter.
