AN ORDINANCE annexing the City's Wastewater Treatment Facility to
the City of Yakima and zoning said property Suburban
• Residential District.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced in accordance with
all applicable laws for the annexation to the City of Yakima of
the Wastewater Treatment Facility owned by the City of Yakima, and
hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, said property is owned by the City and used for its
Wastewater Treatment Facility, and
WHEREAS, said property has been formally zoned SR, Suburban
Residential District, pursuant to the official zoning map for the
Yakima Urban Area and it is the intent of the City Council to
retain such zoning, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The following described property, owned by the
City of Yakima and used for its Wastewater Treatment Facility,
situated in Yakima County, Washington, and not contiguous to the
City of Yakima is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washing-
ton, for Wastewater Treatment Facility purposes:
Beginning at a point 130 feet north of the south line of
the northeast quarter of Section 32, Township 13 North,
Range 19, E.W.M., and on the east right -of -way line of
Primary State Highway #3 (I -82), thence northerly along
said east right -of -way line to the north line of the
southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section
29, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M.; thence easterly
along said north line to the west line of Tract 40 of
Goodwin's Five Acre Tracts; recorded in Volume "A" of
Plats, Page 18, records of Yakima County, Washington;
thence northerly along the west line of Tract 40 and 33
to the northwest corner of the south half of Tract 33 of
Goodwin's Five Acre Tracts; thence easterly along the
north line of the south half of Tract 33 to a point
250.57 feet west of the east line of Tract 33; thence
northerly parallel with the east line of Tracts 33, 32
and 25 of Goodwin's Five Acre Tracts to the southerly
right -of -way line of Secondary State Highway No. 11 -A;
thence south easterly along said south right -of -way line
to the west edge of the Yakima River; thence southerly
along the west edge of the Yakima River; to the north
line of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter
of Section 33, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M.;
thence north 89 °40' west along said north line to a
point 1670 feet east of the northwest corner of the
southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section
32, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M.; thence south 7°
41' west 690 feet; thence south 10 °28' west 360 feet;
thence south 25 ° 13' west 146 feet; thence south 37 °03'

west 132 feet to a point on a line parallel with and 30
feet north of the south line of the southwest, quarter of
the northwest quarter of Section 33, Township 13 North,
Range 19, E.W.M.; thence south 88°58' west along a line
parallel with and 30 feet north of the south line of
said southwest quarter of the northwest quarter and the
southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section
32, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M., 1041 feet;
thence north 100 feet; thence south 88°58' west to the
point of beginning.
Section 2. The hereinbefore described real property annexed
to the City of Yakima is hereby zoned SR, Suburban Residential,
District.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Auditor
of Yakima County and with the Board of County Commissioners of
Yakima County, Washington.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter.
