ORDINANCE NO. B-2259
AN ORDINANCE rezoning certain specific property situate in the City of
Yakima1 County of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has duly considered the re-
zoning of certain specific property in the City of Yakima as hereinafter
more fully described, and it appearing that the City Planning Commission
has duly considered and recommended such change, and there having been con-
ducted a public hearing,thereon; and it appearing to be in the best inter-
ests of the City of Yakima to rezone said premises, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described property situate in
the City of Yakima, County of Yakima, W to-wit:
Legal: Beginning at the centerline of North 16th Avenue and
Fruitvale Blvd., thence South 130 feet along the centerline of North 16th
Avenue, thence West 192 feet, thence South 255.5 feet to the centerline of
Garrett Street, thence West 154.3 feet along said centerline, thence N
163.25 feet along the East line of Lot 6, Zerr's Subdivision, thence West
317 feet along the North line of Lots 6,7,8 and 9, Zerr's Subdivision to
the centerline of N 18th Avenue, thence South along said centerline
18.9 feet, thence West 265 feet to the East line of Lot 3, Luke Powell.
Subdivision, thence °outh along said line 141.9 feet, thence West 198 feet
along the South line of Lots 1,2 and 3, Luke Powell Subdivision, thence
North 168.8 feet to the North line of Lot 13, Luke Powell Subdivision,
thence West along said line 181 feet to the centerline of Wright Avenue,
thence North 165 feet along said centerline to the centerline of Fruitvale
Blvd., thence East 1,319 feet to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby rezoned from R-1, Single Family Residence to
B - General Business Zone.
Section 2. That the following described property situate in
the City of Yakima, Yakima County, ton to-wit:
Y) Washington,
Legal: Beginning at a point 130 feet South of the inter-
section of the centerline of Fruitvale Blvd. and North 16th Avenue, thence
West 192 feet, thence South 255.5 feet to the centerline of Garrett
Street, thence West 154.3 feet along said centerline, thence North 163.25
feet along the East Line of Lot 6, Zerr's Subdivision, thence West 317
feet along the North Line of Lots 6,7,8 and 9, Zerr's Subdivision to the
centerline of North 18th Avenue, thence South along said centerline 18.9
feet, thence West 265 feet to the West line of Lot 3, Like Powell Sub-
division, thence South along said line 141.9 feet, thence West 198 feet
along the South line of Lots 1,2 and 3, Luke Powell Subdivision, thence
North 168.8 feet to the North line of lot 13, Like Powell Subdivision,
thence West along said line 181 feet to the centerline of Wright Avenue,
thence South 492.6 feet along said line to the centerline of Willow Street,
thence East 1,319 feet along said centerline to the centerline of North
16th Avenue, thence North 534 feet along said centerline to the point of
beginning.
Section 3. The above changes in zoning shall be included
and depicted on the next regularly amended use District Map prepared by
and for the said City.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days
after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the
City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 4th
day of March, 1959.
