'ORDINANCE NO. B-2256
AN ORDINANCE amending Paragraph 9 of Section 800 and amending paragraph
1 of Section 801 and amending Paragraph 17 of Section 900, of
Ordinance No. B-2095, establishing zones in the City of Yak-
ima; regulating and limiting the use of buildings and land;
establishing use, height, area, and off-street parking regula-
tions; providing for yards, courts and other open spaces; pro-
vidink for the adoption of maps showing the boundaries of said
zones; providing for a Board of Adjustment; providing for, the
administration and enforcement of this Ordinance, and fixing
penalties for the violation of its provisions; repealing
Ordin'ances numbered B-22, B-35, B-43, B-51, B-71, B-126;
B-147, B-172 and B-293, and all amendments thereto, and all
other ordinances and'parts of ordinances in conflict-here-
with.!
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
SectiOn 1. That Section 800, Paragraph 9, or Ordinance No.
B-2095 be and the 'same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 800: LAND USE:
9 Gasoline Service Stations provided:
I A. No open space in this zone may be used for the- •
storage, display, or sale of used vehicles or equip-
! ment.
b. No service station shall hereafter be erected-or
I located within one hundred and fifty (150) feet of
• I any school, park, playground, hospital, church or any
of the residential zones. Existing stations, other-
wise conforming in this zone, shall not be consid-
ered as -non-conforming uses.
c. Lighting for said use, including permitted - .
illuminated signs, shall be so arranged so as not
to reflect or cause glare into any residential zone.
In addition, said lights shall be so arranged so as
not to interfere with the safe operation of motor
vehicles.

Section 2. That Section 801, paragraph 1, of Ordinance No. -!
B-2095 be and the Same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 801: LIMITATIONS ON PERMITTEDUSES IN A B-2 ZONE.
1. All uses shall be conducted whooly within a
building except at gasoline service stations. • .
SectiOn 3. That Section 900, Paragraph 17, of Ordinance No.
B-2095 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: -
SectiOn 900: LAND USE:
17. Gasoline Service Stations.
SectiOn 4. This Ordinance shall be and is, hereby de-
clared to be in fu11 force and effect thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, approval and publication, as provided by law and the
City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this
25th day of February, 1959.

parts of ordinances in conflict herewith." as passed on t he 25th day of
Pe bruary , 1959, and thatthe same has been published as required by law.
