ORDINANCE NO. B-2202

AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditures of funds not pudgeted for the
office equipment account of the Legal Department: to-wit:
Law books; and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, At the time of the adoption of the 1958 budget it Was
not anticipated and could not have been reasonably foreseen that it would
become necessary to purchase law books and create a law library for the
Legal Department and,
WHEREAS, The City Co finds that the purchase of a Law

library is necessary and required in the public interests, and that an
emergency exista,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Sect'on 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expendi-
ture of $1,600.00 for the purchase of law books for the Legal Department
of the City of Yakima and that it could not have been reasonably foreseen
at the time of the adoption of the 1958 budget that such law books would
be required.
Section 2. The City Tbeasurer is hereby authorized, empow-
ered, and directed to issue emergency warrents upon the appropriate fund
for such purchases in the total amount of $1,600.00, upon the presentation
of proper vouchers therefore.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the expendi-
ture of funds not budgeted and an emergency Ls hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 17th
day of September, 1958.

published as required by law.
