ORDINANCE NO. B-2191
AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of Twentieth Avenue South lying
adjacent to Lot 11 of Chase Hill Residence Tracts.as shown
on the plat of said Addition. -

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission
of the City of Yakima nroviding for the vacation of the hereinafter de-
scribed property; and
• WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Commission, a
hearing on said petition was set for the 9th day of July, 1958, at the
hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon of day atthe office of the
City Commission at the City Hall, Yakima, Washington, and notice.thereof
waa duly given in the manner provided by statute and by the City Clerk
of said City; and •
WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition no objection was
made the thereon or filed, and it being deemed for the best interests of
the City of Yakima that said petition be granted and said portion.of 20th
Avenue be vacated; -
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described Portion of 20th Ave-
nue in the City df Yakima, Washington, to-wit:

Twentieth Avenue South lying adjacent to Lot. 11
of Chase Hill Residence Tracts, according to the
plat thereof recorded in Volume A of plats, Page'
142, Records of the Auditor's Office of said
Yakima County, Washington, and extending southerly
from Lombard Lane to the right-of-way of Naches
and. Cowiche Canal do hereby request that the east
10 feet of the west 20 feet of the above described
• portion of 20th Avenue South be vacated, Subject
to all easements and rights-of-way in favor of
the City of Yakima, and others for Public utilities
of all kinds now established and used over, . under or .
through said. property.

be and the same is hereby vacated.

Section 2.. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary
easements and righte of way for the installation and maintenance of any
and all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and all kinds which
now exist in said portion of 20th Avenue South, or which it may hereafter .
desire to construct therein, without interference with any existing
building thereon, also subject to Easement for foot traffic.

Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for theimMe-
diate preservatin of the public Peace, property, health and safety of
the people of the City of Yakima; and an emergency is hereby declared
to exist; and saa.d Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediate-
ly upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the
City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, siFned and approved this
30th day of July, 1958.
